Very cool! Really wide sounding effect. That's the Mid/Side stuff I expect. What really appealed to me were the more random movements. I'm going to download the free demo. Wish me luck - I'm going in!

OK - after an hour of testing, I've bought Choric, as despite having at least a dozen other 'chorus' plug-ins, this one is distinctly different in nature, being based on a timestretching algorithm.
The usual chorus FX are extended compared with most others, offering up to 32 separate voices with versatile LFO movement, for extremely rich and varied results (a Sync option also allows you to switch from freeform LFO frequency to anywhere between 1/32T and 32 Bars in sync with your project).
You can also apply a selection of filters to the modulated portion, and/or pitch shift of up to +/- an octave in 1/10 semitone increments, with optional formant preservation for a more natural sound.
And, with the mid/side Width control, this modulated portion(s) can appear much wider than your clean signal, or narrowed all the way down to mono.
Suffice it to say that after getting familiar with the controls I soon had far more exotic options, such as the original clean signal accompanied at far left and right by 3rd pitch-shifted versions.
Only three small minuses for me - first the latency is a high 688 samples compared to most other chorus plug-ins (this is due to the pitch shifting, and by comparison, Soundtoys' AlterBoy imposes 2255 samples!). The Gui is also fully resizeable (hooray!) but doesn't currently remember your chosen size on reopening (boo!). The other is a tiny cosmetic niggle, and that's the font colour, which for me needs to be changed to a more contrasting white colour for better visibility.
Overall, well worth exploring!

Martin Thanks for this really great mini review and for hipping us to this plugin.
