Hi this is my first time posting here but have been visiting this site for many years now. ( I am a long time user on the other audio forum … not sure if you’re allowed to say the name here 😎) Currently following the Integra 8 / Alice 828/ and SSL Big Six oh can’t forget Iron Age Audio they make some amazing gear. I am upgrading my setup it will based around 500 series (pretty sure at least) I looked at the Neve 8816/8804 combo and wondered why Neve hasn’t released a 500 rack chassis . Modular neve “desk” that could be built up over time and then came across this : Neve 500
Anyone know about this ? you can’t get to the page by searching the site. On their 500 series main page the background image shows their 500 modules in a Neve rack and google search got me to the link I posted Attachments:

Welcome to our corner of the internet. The reason for no modular routing bussing modules is that the 500 series doesn’t have the capability. All 500 gives you is balanced in, out, and unbalanced side chain. The expense of a new format and limited possible demand make it a no go. Tonelux had the routing.

Sorry I replied but clearly did not hit send or complete the post. Yup I remember Tonelux couldn’t afford that type of setup back then and no nothing like it now.

Doesn't Purple have some rounding based 500 series modules available?

Doesn't Purple have some rounding based 500 series modules available? I’m not sure if the Purple routing is in an actual 500 rack, now you could do it through a bunch of ribbons linking modules, but then unless you use a pretty big ribbon and the unbalanced outputs plus put the summing amps on the modules your going to lose 500 slots and have to put your bus outs on the front. Can you tell a couple of would be 500 rack console ideas have been proposed?
