SSL 2?

I'll just say it, my SSL Big Six takes a big old whiz over my MOTU's (16A and 1248) and macbook DAC in terms of conversion. In the beginning it bothered me but it took a while and some Klippel / LO testing to find out why. They're actually good converters..
So, I want a decent mobile AD/DA just for general listening (bus powered if possible) and I found the SSL 2. Worth it? Or are they just a fisher price version of their SSL Big Six?

That’s big talk…that 16A is good. It's good but the AD is worse than the DA so it doesn't seem transparent in use. |

That’s big talk…that 16A is good. It is big talk and I've loved my 1248 for a long while but they're just muddy compared to the SSL IMO. I'm sure some will disagree but that's my take.. |
