Looking for a list of the top bitcrushers in 2023. Oversampling. Detailing downsample options, etc. Give me your favorites.

Is there really any lower bit depth left to plunder?
I still reach for Freakshow MISHBY or my "still running but for the grace of god" copy of CamelPhat when it's time to get gnarly.

CamelPhat still exists in Logic. It's called "Phat FX" now, and also includes the settings from CamelCrusher. And CamelSpace is "Step FX". Pretty cool.

This could be the only plugin in all my tracks.

I absolutely LOVE bitcrushers and I'm kind of obsessed. My favorites: Cymatics Origin JS Paranoia Mangler Unfiltered Audio lo-fi-af Denise My Crush Tritik Krush Aberrant DSP Digitalis There's so much you can do with bitcrushers, they're honestly one of the most underrated tools we have at our disposal. I actually find them to be a great way to sort of "blur" the top end without getting too dull or dark. Similarly, I also love plugins that emulate bad/lossy MP3 encoding for the same purpose. Lo-fi-af does this, and so does Goodhertz Lossy. There's also a really cool "codec" feature in Ozone 10 where you can preview your master as an MP3 at different bitrates. I sometimes like the way 192kbps softens the top end, so I leave it on when rendering...

Not enough to get me to switch to Logic - I'll be pressing my face against the glass looking sad.

Well for me it's the OTO Biscuit. I haven't look elsewhere that much, tbf.
