Thing 1: great singing! Thing 2: would you please post the original, non-plugged, version for comparison Thing 3: thanks for getting that !@#$'n song stuck in my head!

OK I admit it. I had fun blasting this brief (Oktava 219>UA Volt Vintage button) raw vocal below with Plugs... MJUCjr/Relab 480L Fat Plate/UADx LA2A/Little Radiator. Whew! Now was it actually improved? Hmm... Chris Wow! OK -- a lot to unpack in there. I added some clean, Kotelnikov compression to the raw track to bring it up to the amount of compression happening from the saturation plugins; Then gated the saturated one (eliminating the verb) to match the raw LUFS. Ultimately, the saturated track certainly has it's own vibe! However, the original track has a wealth of noise (like vinyl crack/pop) in it. I'm not sure what's going on there as I'm not familiar with the Volt Vintage effect...maybe that's it??
Ultimately, I can't tell if that satur/stortion is analog or emulation. There's certainly a strong effect from it though!

Thanks again! It might be the Processing I did, bringing out my potential raspy overtones. Particularly the Little Radiator. Chris

Here's my vocal that Bob Ohlsson ran through the Hitsville Reverbs. (This is through one of the 2 reverbs sent to me) This vocal is totally RAW with no effects/additives, other than the reverb. Portion of "Dock Of The Bay"... Thanks again Bob!

OK -- I can certainly hear it now. I have the same thing in my voice.
Great voice, by the way!

Thanks for all the kind words! BTW the P120 has virtually the same frequency response, as the Soundelux U99. That's now the UA 167. Of course the Bock based microphones, have a superior capsule. Plus a giant Transformer, for that "larger than life" effect. Which is why I love my U195 too. Chris
