Abyss is awesome, super versatile and at least for me easier to get along with it than Unisum, I still feel I've only scratched the surface but am digging the results. P42 Climax MOD is also amazing, especially the proportional Q eq section. It’s a fuckin joke made by a lying developer who is prob funding development (and almost certainly the new pretty guis) with presales. Auto attack and auto release are broken. There’s a lot of distortion options you’ll want to turn off. It’s just a standard digital compressor that’s worse than what you already own if you own something flexible with working program dependencies like Pro C2 or Presswerk.
Pulse modular’s earlier p42 “line amp” wasn’t an emulation of any analog line amp at all but simply a filtered basic wave shaping function. Plot the transfer function. Plugin doctor can do it easily if you just type in the right delay. Plot something from UAD or Fuse. Laugh and caveat emptor. Overdrive any analog line stage and plot it. See the difference. Hear the difference. P42 was like inflator but 20 years later and falsely claimed to model hardware.

I thought everyone thought highly of Pulsar plugins sound quality? Everyone seemed to rave about the Pulsar Mu. I haven't used it myself, but had considered trying it out one of these days.

Tried it. Eh.
Overall, I like Unisum much more. This one just kind of sounds like your run-of-the-mill plugin compressor from 10 years ago. Some neat features for sure — the various oversampling modes are cool ideas — but I really don't care for the sound. The transformer saturation in particular sounds pretty bad to me.
Sorry, I hate to diss on someone's hard work. Just sharing my thoughts. I'm sure others will love it.

With top studios and mastering engineers buying P42 Climax and only 5 licenses transferred to new owners in 2+ years proves that P42 has established itself next to valuable hardware audio units around studios worldwide. So if anything needs to be labeled as a joke, that would be your envious statement! History will remember Pulsar Modular for its innovation and outside the box thinking, while you will be forgotten as quickly as flushing the toilet after a big dump. |

Actually it is not! Usually customers sell back their license with zero depreciation. We only do few sales per year. As such, the demand for our products at a discount is high. As these products are always being updated, you can use the plugin for a whole year and then sell it at around 25% discount from retail. So if you purchased it through your loyalty discount or a sale campaign, then your investment is preserved. We also do free ownership transfer. |

Hmm $342 is a top shelf price for to me an unknown company with no track record.
I’m in Canada so that almost $500 cdn, not going to happen for a plug in.
The demo period is good.
You might want to consider some sort of launch discount to build awareness/profile.
You are in a very competitive market, right now I can get 2 UA plugs ins of my choice for about $125 or $75 each.
I did buy unisum recently, due to its quality and sale price.

They certainly have some very pretty GUI's but the prices are scary their modular synth is a shade under $500!! |

No, at first, I thought they were Pulsar, I have its comp. Plug in pricing seems to be going through a sea change: newbies launching with high end pricing $350 ish. While UA is now selling Ultimate 11, 114 plug ins for $1200 or like $10 a plug: wtf ?  |
