I had to pull an all-nighter last night (23rd-24th) trying to finish a client project in time for the holidays. I didn't even need to turn on the tube gear in here to get it hot--the solid state gear heated up just fine. Anyway, the final project is done, and now I can finally relax for a few days. It's been a ridiculously busy 5 weeks pushing to this point. I've probably averaged 5hrs of nightly sleep over that span. I'm whupped.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! Thanks to each and every one of you for helping to make RGO such a fun place to hang out all year long.

The bigger question is if Santa / Hannukah Fairy / Krampus brought you anything. I played Santa for myself. Mrs. Claus adopts a, "eh, I wouldn't know where to start with that stuff so buy yourself something" policy around the holidays. I couldn't resist. (img link) To be clear, I don't need another guitar. It's not like outboard or plugins where I can always find space / use. But I saw the thing, I liked the thing, I wanted the thing, I bought the thing. Just need the shop to get the Floyd and intonation to play nice with my drop-B tuning and .62ga ethernet cable strings. It's weird, I can build a compressor but I can't intonate / set neck relief on a guitar to save my life. The truss rod seems to go left for bad and right for worse. |

Whatever this latest strain is, it's like it transmits by thought. Or heating vents. Round here, it seems as if you had alpha or delta (Wife had Alpha, I had Delta), that our immunities are so far up that being around severely sick folks (both young and old, hospitalized and cared for at home 24/7) is keeping us healthy. Both against the latest greatest Covid, and also influenza type A. It's everywhere around here, but we are staying healthy in the midst of close contact and helping those not so lucky. Feel better soon John!!! Seems to be hitting everyone different. Old folks skating thru OK, younger folks getting hammered here. |
