Here's an example of Emvoice (similar to Solaria) in a much more exposed pop music setting:
Not really convincing to me, but again, could absolutely be useful for certain purposes. And in this instance, I actually think the song itself is fairly decent, and would be much cooler if the production was taken up a notch and real vocals were used.

But can you make it sound real? I.e. not auto-tuned. Think of it as a variant of the Turing test. Are you fooled? The answer (in an exposed setting as a soloist) is decidedly no, at least currently. Though on the other hand I'd guess if carefully edited it would be good enough to fool a lot of non-musicians, etc. If Solaria sang a carol on one of those Hallmark Christmas TV shows, I'll bet most people wouldn't blink.

Lol, well urr.. Should I even bother practicing to sing? This actually sounds really good. I hate it and love it at the same time.
