Oh yes, nice one. I like quite some of the presets. The gate is pretty good. Thanks for sharing, considering it is free, it's a great plugin. For sure this one will get some use...
Best regards, Martin

Good point wiz, I've often found myself wishing I could enlarge the image of a plug, but being difficult to operate not exclusive to Eventide. The plug's worth a second look.

Finally got around to trying this and I stand by what I said earlier. I was hoping each module would be at least as good as what I already have but alas, this is not the case. At least it's free which is very nice of them.

I dunno, I tried it on a new vocal, and chose it over my Waves SSL and UAD LA2 plugs. I'm not saying it's as good, just that I quickly got a better sound with it.

Yeah, henge. That's hard to achieve for a company to shine in each module with an all-in-one channel strip plug. I like the gate and the omnipressor emulation certainly. For the rest....i like some of the presets pretty much, just another tool in the box. Considering it was a $249 plug, i would not have bought it, but for free, just another plug that will get some use occasionally.

I did the same thing!LOL But MdynamicEQ and VBC Grey sounded better to me. also i think Microshift is a better shifter but i can see how people might like the Eventide sound better. The delay doesn't come close to Echoboy!!! Btw I just slapped Echobboy on a piccolo snare set to GateSlapBacker! very cool!!

I should try the VBC on a track, so far, I've only used it on the 2 bus. It would be nice if it was mono for single tracks. The Grey's my favorite so far. It's difficult for me to be sure about the Eventide's sound, because I recently changed the opamp in my Warm Audio preamp to the John Hardy 990+, and I haven't quite found the best setting, ( I'm not sure there is one). Right now, the Hardy sounds richer, more hi-fi than the original opamp, but is a little grainy, and I like vocal clean and clear. When I had the original opamp in the ToneBeast and compared it to the Hardy, the 990+ won, but I'm still not sure of it.
My judgement's also complicated by my getting the Thiersch blue line M7 capsule upgrade for my Blackspade U17, and I'm not as familiar with the sound of it as I was before the upgrade.
I'm keeping the mix with the Eventide on it though, so that says it's certainly useable, which says a lot.

And the shifter is a very different flavour than Microshift or Ubermod. I would have paid for the shifter. It's very generous and smart of them to do this promo. I wonder what's around the corner for them. Absolutely slap VBC on individual tracks. The Red and Grey are terrific on vox imo. Love the grey on guits. The Mu on keys and acoustics can be great. The red seems to work on everything...actually I've never used VBC on bass!

ahh.. bass, in my experience, the hardest thing to get right. I'm hoping to get the Warm Audio 1176 at some point, maybe that'll help. meanwhile, I'll try the Opressor on the Eventide, just to see. On the vocal track I did, it sounded better with the oppressor on than without, even though their video shows the oppressor being for more extreme compression.
