I mean, I just updated from Music Production Bundle 4.1 to MPB 5.1 because the intro pricing ends today, and it includes updates to RX10 and Ozone 10. But almost everything about their update process is farging crazy. Nothing shows up as a "bundle" in their whiz-bang "iZotope Product Portal," but rather as 15 different products, none of which you actually know which versions are which or if they're even included in the MPB or not, because for real, did you actually update this product for Neutron 4?? Or Nincompoop 7??? If you authorize via iLok (which I do, because I find it far more convenient), half the time iZotope's app tells me the serial number is invalid, even though iLok recognizes it as soon as I try it through their app. The Exponential Audio reverbs--while finally showing up on iZotope's site--still aren't well integrated into this so-called "bundle": they have different serial numbers than the rest of the stuff.
And the thing that makes me want to curse loudly is that iZotope's site still automatically logs you out after like 2.5 minutes. Seriously?? So I have to keep logging in constantly for it to remember who I am.
This is Busch-league psyche out stuff.

My favorite is the special upgrade price to the standard versions when you already have the advanced. Or neglecting to mention anywhere that some RX modules that show up as AU/VST plugin versions will only be Audiosuite. I guess they know they got me, putting all that AI to work I suppose...

It's so infuriating. And seriously, what's with the capital "Z" in an otherwise all-lowercase company name? That should arouse one's suspicions right there...

They were responsive to my nudge about needing to fix the RX plugs so you don’t manage a zillion seemingly different but identical plugs. I have rx5-10 plugs installed on some computers, because….you have to. 6 versions of the same damn plug.
Yeah….the portal is a new damn version every update.

I think I'm done with them. Want to like them, but their business model just rubs me wrong.

I think I'm done with them. Want to like them, but their business model just rubs me wrong. It'll cost me $249 to upgrade to Music Production Bundle 5 but the thing is for me I never actually really used Music Production Bundle 4 after I bought it. All the various AI mixing tools and AI mastering tools feel like a crutch, it strikes me it's better to learn how to mix and master with traditional manual tools if you want to achieve the most musical and professional results possible. I just don't see Hugh Padgham reaching for an iZoptope AI mix tool when he wants a great snare sound!

I bought the Izotope suite during their last big sale. It was one of those *buy the cheapest suite and upgrade for really, really cheap* things and I'm like you Mark. I can't make heads or tails of all the installed products as they are all called something different even in the same line. I should bite the bullet and figure it out but it's such a mess that I don't want to spend the time doing it.

Yeah, this cycle in particular became a situation of, "it's cheaper for me to upgrade this whole bundle of things than to just upgrade the two things I actually might use."
