Super frustrated. In my extremely limited time, I've got to deal with another Pro Tools problem instead of creating music. Completely out of nowhere, Pro Tools acts like it's loading the session, I get the "Restoring Session' screen where it loads the tracks...and then nothing. That screen disappears and I'm left with nothing. Pro Tools hasn't crashed, though. All of the menu items are greyed out. It acts like it's waiting on me to click the usual next screen.
I'm on a Mac with latest OS and PT's. Already trashed my prefs. I was on PT 2022.4, but just updated to current verison to see if that helped. It didn't.
I'm clueless and out an entire night's worth of my time.

What a bummer and a big disappointment when something like this happens. Do other sessions open??
If something like this were to happen to me, I would create a new session from scratch on one of my audio drives, then import session data from the troubled session into the new session (but just a few tracks at a time).
Maybe your session that's having trouble is corrupt?? Maybe a single track is having a plug-in issue and you could isolate it.

You might try moving all your plugins in the unused plugin folder , then see if the session loads . Since moving to m1 Mac and pro tools studio I’ve encountered problems updating with izotope plugins . I’ve had to uninstall then and do a fresh install

I’d start with izotope if you own those .

I haven’t had any issues with Izotope on the M1. I think I had something like this with Luna and it was something to do with security and permissions.

I've occasionally had this issue. It's plugin related. The last time it was waves plugins causing it due to having multiple versions of waveshells installed. It is super frustrating when PT suddenly starts acting up out of nowhere.
