Just didn't know if there would be an issue with buying software forum out of country. Just bought it and getting ready to download. I still want Fields of Rock too, sheesh. Check with wiz about fields of rock. Thanks for running disarm through Hansa. 30 seconds of listening and think it's better than easy drummer. Being able to export the tracks as audio will be huge too.

Pulled the music down so you could hear the drums. Three clean kits here. And one HP - "Compressed" preset.

I bought Auto-Align and Vocalign from Thomann (as well as Coles 4038's and all the Beyerdynamic microphones I own). Software is emailed immediately.

When you bought the mics, did you get hit with an "import" processing fee? When I ordered kits from AML I had to pay UPS (who handled delivery state side) an import fee. Wondering if this applies to Thomann shipments to the USA as well.

I didn't with my M201's or M160's

So, it has come to my attention that I cannot play like Phil Collins or Stuart Copeland.

Similar experience here. I just received a $2,500 order from Thomann and the only additional cost was the $60 in brokerage fees that I paid to UPS. Well worth it considering the savings due to the strong dollar against the euro.
Received a M88 last year and it did not require any additional fees.

Uhh.. $179? No thanks, I'll wait for a sale.. If it was $79, I'd buy it.
You never quite know with these SDX expansion packs if they'll truly become a go-to kit, or if they'll sit in the back room files where the other 85% of my plug-ins are stored, gathering digital dust.

They never put the flagship stuff on sale. I was going to pick up the Bob Rock one for two of the kits and waited for it to go on sale for like 4 years or something before I lost interest.

Much better price in bulk. 3 packs for $289 here... www.thomannmusic.com/toontrack_sdx_value_pack.htm

The 3-pack is a good deal except I've barely scratched the surface of what I already have in SD3. I would simply buy the High Padgham expansion because it sounds like.. well, Hugh Padgham.

I worked as a professional drummer when I first turned pro at 17 and for many years, I gigged, recorded, did sessions etc ..... All with one great Tama kit and set of great cymbals. Now here in 2022 with a big old E Drum Kit sat in my studio I suddenly seem to need 300GB of drum samples of 50 different kits and 200 different cymbals. Odd thing that.

I had sd3 and won’t rebuy it, its too bad you can’t buy the sd3 engine, with just the samples you want.

Man, I am loving this.
Not of use to my organic sounding brethren here, perhaps, but I am loving the drum machine options here for what I do.

I could see supplementing kicks too The stock drum machine samples in SD3 contain a few good options too but it’s odd: I think there’s only one (super saturated) 808 kick for some reason. Hitmaker is definitely an upgrade.

There's a bunch of drum machine samples in the stock SD3 library too. I've used those to layer with real drums many times.

I bought and downloaded Hit Maker yesterday.
It's great - those Stuart Copeland MIDI grooves are heaps of fun for signwriting - quicker than me playing my E drums.
Does anyone else think the snares are very bright in tone?
