Josh is advertising on Facebook the launch Friday.
Apparently , mkii has a mix knob and mki owners can get a discount if ordering a mkii.

Mix knob is a great addition in my view. MK1's seemed to receive allot of love from their owners so I have no doubt Mk2 will also.
Looking forward to finding out soon the ETA of the 660 I ordered.

Mix knob was already there.
Really just looks like the DC offset was added. Nothing else really in terms of controls. Other than breaking them from stereo controls to mono ones. And making it taller. Maybe some circuit updates.
Still bothers me that there are on mkii version of this but the 660 is no where to be seen still..

There are some major upgrades internally. 2 more transformers, 2 more tubes, DC Threshold control, a new custom (and giant) Sowter Output transformer and new Input Transformers as well. Most importantly the compression curve is now identical to a Fairchild 670. The best part is that we have kept it as affordable as possible. I'll announce it Friday properly through the newsletter, website and on here of course

I'd love to demo a few of your products on my YT channel 😊

Looking forward to finding out soon the ETA of the 660 I ordered. When did you order your 660? Are you measuring in years or months? Its not even on the website right now. Friend of mine, guy I've known for decades 20 minutes up the road here in NJ just got, a few weeks ago supposedly the "very last" Stamchild 670 that was ever going to be built and was told its all 660 from here out. And now this..? He's not much of a forum guy but I sent him a link to this thread... I've been tempted to order the 33609 klone many times. Even now its showing preorder for December but what are the chances if I plunk down the moose bucks I'd actually have it my hands on or around Jan 1 2023? My gut tells me somewhere between slim & none... mostly because I don't know a single person that's ever gotten their Stam gear anywhere near the promised delivery dates.

If you are from the EU you can order directly and there are no added taxes, it's also free shipping within the EU. We also have distribution in Europe for the rest of our product line. The Stamchild MK2 is only sold directly.

I know a couple of thousand that got their units within 3 to 5 working days. Say Hi to Damian from me, I emailed him about the MK2 before it was posted anywhere, he is a great guy and yes, he did get the very last Stamchild 670 MK1. About the 33609 and the dates on the website I suggest you order them when they are in stock so you don't have to wait on it! I am sure we will have a few left after December, we are cooking a very large batch.

We make them in Chile in light, medium and dark wood. A weekend hobby of one of our engineers.

Years for at this point for me. Put a deposit down in October 2019. Hearing stuff like this really bums me out. And so, just for the sake of you... the viewers at home and without trying to stir up any drama... I'll just say that about 30 minutes after I sent my friend a link to this thread? My phone rang and he said that particular Stamchild is on its way back. I won't get into the story, that's between him & Josh but he's not a happy camper. And after hearing that tale? Ya know... like I told him... if you need some 1073 klones there's a lot of options. Some could even be at your door in a day or two. I'm out. Later.

Well in terms of Stam quality, I have had 6 products, 4 worked perfectly, two 76 adf clones had a problem in the d channel , no problem getting them repaired under warranty in the US. Stam stuff is made by hand and some like the 670 are very complex builds, of course, they should work as described, but it’s good to know the return/warranty work is both in place and viable. I wish I had the dough for a 670 !

I simply don't have the patience to order any STAM Audio equipment, I struggle with anything more than next day delivery .... perhaps it's my age

Thx Josh, That’s kind of you, but I am still arguing with my federal Tax office about $15 grand, as a gesture of diplomacy, it already reduced my pension by $350 monthly to claw back money, really appreciate that as a retiree and then as we face at least 10% inflation ( real inflation is higher), they call to ask when can I start paying more ! Got to love bureaucrats !!

Well that's not quite the story I got after talking to him for an hour yesterday but whatever. Its not my gear or tale to tell... but I know he's looking at this thread and maybe he'll join in. Peace.
