- DA3A (wonder what differs from the D3A, appart from the front panel commands)
- and the 260 Vu ; I was looking at old DBX units the other day. I'm looking for a good compressor for synth drum kicks. This might be the ticket. Exciting !

DBX 160A is finally discontinued so this is good news.

It's been under development for some time now. Nothing like a drop of 'splat' on your synthpop and electronic drums!! Happy splatting.

Hey everyone! What a NAMM! Not as big as past NAMM's but it definitely felt just as big! We've been recovering from timezone changes, jet lag, and general production - but we're now here to answer questions and to elaborate a little bit on the DA-3A and the 260vu.
We're looking at 4 - 6 months for the release of both units. If we're able to make them happen sooner, then it'll be sooner. The DA-3A is sonically the same as the D3A, but in the classic casing that everyone loves. The 260vu however, well if you're familiar with the original unit, you know what it's about.

A big thank you goes to you John! You suggested us doing this a few years ago, and it stuck with us. We're happy to be able to bring this vision to life!

Looks like they've been recording in the garage and splashed used motor oil during a change.

FWIW, if I want something to look aged I'll hang onto it for 50 years; I feel the same way about instruments so would never buy a distressed finish. (ironically I have a 63 Precision which has just had a re-spray for a 2nd time , also 3rd bridge and 3rd set of tuners (Gotoh reverse wind( due to playing several nights a week for aeons.) Cheers, Ross

I have gear 30 years old and it looks like the day I bought it. I call it “looking after your gear” Is that a novel concept

Looks like they've been recording in the garage and splashed used motor oil during a change. Haha, the distressed look isn't for everyone, but we definitely dig how these turned out! The 'Train-wrecked Series' is actually done by an artist that dr.Bill introduced us to by the name of Lawrence Trainor, hence the name Train-wrecked Each piece is an individual work of art, what better way to show you build in small batches than that? We've attached a clearer photo that Colt Capperrune took at NAMM as opposed to our crappy iPhone photo so you can really see the detail. Also attached a photo of the story behind the artist and how this vision came to be.

It's been under development for some time now. Nothing like a drop of 'splat' on your synthpop and electronic drums!! Happy splatting. Please include overeasy mode, get the program dependency down, maybe multiple versions with different vcas and opamps? X/VU and A. Throw in the Jensens too? Would be sweet.

(in my best Christopher Walken voice) WOW... that is a tall order.
