This is a tube mic cable for my DIY U47. I did not build this, but it’s been a killer mic. Flea body/headbasket, Flea transformer, Andreas Grosser selected EF12, Neumann capsule, point-to-point build. I fired it up yesterday, and got no signal. It’s not the first time, but it seems it’s permanent now. I’m troubleshooting, and want to check the cable, but I can’t get into this end of the cable. Can someone give me a clue? Attachments:

The black stress relief part should screw off if you hold the top black part above the silver screw part I would think?

Put it into the mic or PSU, and gently try to twist and unscrew the black backing sleeve … lefty loosey. It looks like a standard Flea/Wunder type connector.

Right, and if it doesn't unscrew that way (reverse threads maybe?) can you at least get test leads from a meter into the slots & pins? That should be at least enough to check continuity & confirm if its actually the cable or something else inside the mic/power supply.

Put your DMM lead in a hole and on the other end try each hole until it beeps. Go around the first side doing this until either you notice one not connected or prove that all are connected.
