Any college basketball fans here?
My Tar Heels are back in the Final Four way ahead of schedule so I'm kind of shocked.
UNC vs Duke for the first time ever in the NCAA Tournament this Saturday for a chance to play for the championship on Monday night. I have no idea how we avoided it all these years but for fans of both teams, our worst nightmare is upon us LOL.
It should be fun!

I don't follow college sports, but I make an exception for Madness, where my yearly proclivities are based entirely on my bracketology prognostications ..which at best might be described as poorly researched ..or possibly randomized fickleness. Not surprisingly, this year's bracket was busted up pretty badly right out of the gate. At this point I think I have one shot at the Final Four left and that's it.

Having a 15 seed, Saint Peter's make it all the way to the elite 8 for the first time in history of the tournament definitely wasn't helpful for my bracket!

SNIP . . . It should be fun! A good friend of mine sent me this today: (man, I can't ever seem to get photos to post correctly on this forum, so just click on it to make the image bigger...) [/quote] I am beyond passionate about my Bruins, since I was in Kindergarten, but that kind of fanaticism over sport or team? Too rich for my blood! LOL

I worked the press conferences many years, interesting to see the underbelly, comes with an all access pass. If you have to watch a lot., the womens is more interesting, far more wildcards in style and personality. Coach K is hands down my fave press conference to run. I’ve seen some epic displays.

Living in IL I am always pulling for the Big10. As usual, they faded again this year after a hint of promise with Illinois and Purdue. That being said, and with all due respect to my Duke and NC friends here, I'm really tired of those two teams (Kansas is right up there as well). The only enjoyable thing about this game for me will be knowing one of them will be knocked out. But I'll be watching wishing there was a way both of them could lose.
But that's just me. Carry on.

Good news for you Todd is that I think Kansas beats the winner of the UNC/Duke game. Not to count out Villanova but they did lose a starter to injury at the end of the last game. I think the hype around this first ever UNC/Duke match up in the NCAA tournament is going to set the winner up for a big let down come Monday night. Being a UNC fan...I hope I'm wrong if UNC wins but that's how I see it playing out as of now.

Because you’re such a great and genuine guy, Josh, I’m pulling for UNC from this point forward.

I have to admit that as much as I would love the Heels to win the whole thing this year (especially in Hubert's first year as HC), beating Duke might be even more important the title itself.

Oh, for sure! If a genie popped out of a bottle right now and promised a win tonight with a guaranteed loss on Monday I'd take it in a heartbeat. 😂. How great is Hubert by the way? The, best thing about this season is that we have found our coach for sure! I absolutely love the guy.

So here we go again. TBS/Sling the only way to watch. Why do all of these sporting events now have to require subscriptions? They get you coming and going. No games for me tonight. You other guys enjoy.

Heels baby! Unbelievable game. There's no way to describe this rivalry to people who are either not fans of either team or have never lived in the Triangle. Not every game is as close as tonight's was, but a remarkable percentage of them are.

Yeah that was nuts in the best way.
Also discovered the game was in none of our subscriptions anymore, that's a first. Cobbled together various timed streaming previews in series to watch it, had the NCAA website playing off a laptop through HDMI to the TV. We never watch TV.....that was an adventure in itself.

Well, we hung in there better than I thought we would. The difference maker was the same overlooked difference maker that we’ve had the past six weeks: Leaky Black. Whoever calls the games on TV never mentions him, b/c his stat line just doesn’t look impressive, but he is our engine b/c of his defense. Once he got called for that fourth foul, we took a nosedive. Kansas got uncontested layups and much less physical play with Leaky on the bench with foul trouble.

It's often said that a team "left it all on the court," but it was definitely true this time. Our guys just ran until their bodies completely gave out on them. Awfully proud of this group! What a fun ride this year was!

Sorry, the other mark williams and seawell. A healthy Bacot would have made a difference. Usually these games come down to missed free-throws, but 18/22 is about as good as you can ask. However, a 31.5% field goal percentage is too much to overcome, as well as allowing a few key steals in the second half by Kansas. A great showing nonetheless, and a 3-point loss means they were right there.
