Ned, saw your thread on your build. I heartily agree that water-based would have been the way to go. I still have some smell/vapors from my unit after all this time. Lesson learned.

Todd - I'd highly suggest audiorax.com if they have something that suits you. Your rack will be like a finely crafted piece of furniture - not prefab junk or a crooked piece of junk if I built it. LOL If you're like me, I don't have the time or inclination to build. If you're rather spend time building, then go for it. There are nice dimensions that may help you on the audiorax site as well. I bought a couple of knock down racks, which were excellent. But I realized they were the wrong size (my mistake), so the folks at Audiorax worked with me to come up with a clever, low-cost solution to get me what I needed. So, in addition to making a quality product, Audiorax also has outstanding customer service. |

I recognize I don't have solid wood nor the exact craftsmanship, but I ended up spending a little less than $500 on the project including buying some new tools vs. $915 + freight for equivalent features from Audiorax. That savings was worth the effort for me, as well as not having to wait 8 weeks. |

Of course the killer these days as I build the new live rig is Baltic Birch plywood. |
