Sorry...I edited my first response... I listened and yeah - the vocal sounds really good. Really nice, clean and modern. I would imagine it's the best of everything - $200K board, mixed, mastered - wouldn't surprise me if it was something like a Martech and a more modern mic like a C800 or something. Maybe I can find out.

I'd bet my last penny that SM7 was used for the scratch True. The shot even looks posed. I know the SM7 is popular, but come on, it's Ocean Way. Their mic collection is unbelievable, and any particular mic can arrive by overnight from LA if needed. As if the local locker isn't stuffed enough.
