$950 Excellent condition. Original owner, original box and packing. Very low mileage - certainly less than 50 hours. I'll post some pictures soon.

I still have one! Great two -track with the option for a center SMPTE timecode track. Surprisingly clean sounding for a Fostex. Tapes are interchangeable with a Studer 1/4" on 7" reels . . . if properly aligned!
I really should start using mine again. Good luck with the sale.

The 20 is the star of the foster line. Better deck than the consumer Teacs fetching big bucks because of Pulp fiction.

Look, I know you guys are pros, know your shit, and are not going to buy into double-speak or hype, so I'll be straight up about it.. There's not a scratch on it ..and of course it only takes 7" reels. Space in your studio is limited, right? Besides, who needs 10" reels when you can record at a ridiculously efficient 7.5 ips? ..and you'll save even more money because it only requires 1/4" tape. But wait; there's more!. It features authentic RCA gazintas and gozoutas AND records not just at 7 1/2 ..but also a blistering 15 ips if you really need to push your "fi" higher. This machine is the perfect choice if you're looking to re-create the enchanting sounds that can only be achieved using prosumer electronics from the 80's. You know you want it! (..it's actually a good sounding machine) I live in SE Massachusetts. It may be possible to work out a test drive if you live locally.

Can confirm. These things actually sound awesome. Prosumer or not, this and the Model 80 8-track (still have my pair of them!) were essential to the sound of punk, hardcore, thrash, indie rock and even Beck's first album in the 90s.
Set the snobbery aside. Not everything at the beginning of the home studio revolution was junk. Most of it wasn't.
