Anyone have any suggestions? I have used the Waves LL-Ultra or whatever for a long, long time...ease of use and it sounds good. But after making the change to the new computer, that plug is only offered in bundles that I don't want. Any suggestions for a good Drumbus limiter? Catching peaks and pulling up volume is really all it will be doing. I have the GH Faraday - and I like that, but it can be too much color sometimes.

Why not use Stealth for that?
FWIW, I got Stealth during the group buy based on your recommendation and I'm still getting to know it.
Before that I used L2007 for a longggggg time and it can totally do the job.

For Faraday, turn down the analog color and turn on HQ!

Hadn’t used it on anything but the master because of cpu consumption. But I’ve tried it before and it sounded fantastic. That’s a great idea. I could probably use on on every channel now lol!

Well here's something else, I'm using the Fuse LA4A for clipping drums and that sounds pretty boss.

The Softube Chandler Zener Limiter does a very cool thing to the drum buss. I also use DMG Track Limit in transparent mode as the final plugin on my drum bus. That one has no color and I use it to prevent the stray snare from peaking the sub. I often use a clipper for that too but Track Limiter is still always the last thing on the drum bus.
Try the Chandler. I think there might be some preset from Eric Valentine that makes the drums come alive a bit without overdoing it.

Because you should be able to DL whatever version you had(V8/V9/V10/ect) as a seperate installer and just reinstall what you had. www.waves.com/downloads/v8Not that buying something new isn't fun but if you have it and like it, might as well keep using it.

I've retracted my 1176 offering (even though I use it often) because I was going to buy the entire TDR suite and kept forgetting to do so. Also I have the UA Sonnox Limiter and Ozone 9 so it wasn't a must buy right now.. However as a cheap(ish) limiter that's extremely transparent and has a great clipping section you can't really beat TDR's 6 GE. www.tokyodawn.net/tdr-limiter6-ge/

Until they're manufactured, and we all have our own audioscape 78s, What's the best 1178 plugin out there?

interesting - a couple mentions of Arouser. I have Dave Derr's Big FrEQ plugin and think it is very good, but almost no mention on this forum. I need to try Arouser.
