I actually dug the GAP version (MKI power supply) quite a bit. But for $4K? You can get a very nice mic assortment for that. Chris

I like the C48 better for some reason. Supposedly the same capsule but it isn’t so stupid bright like the 800.

A buddy bought the Stam 800. I think it sounds marvellous not bright at all : mellifluous.

I don't see the point in manufacturing and marketing a C800 clone. There are so many bright microphones already available and getting a C800g absolutely perfect is going to be a costly venture. I never really liked them when they first came out, but I do like aremos's mic. I'm sure they'll sell a few . . . but highly doubt they'll nail it.

I never really liked them when they first came out, but I do like aremos's mic. I'm sure they'll sell a few . . . but highly doubt they'll nail it. If you nail the look every prop shop around the world will buy one, I know because I sold to a bunch of them and they all wanted one but not for the price.
