Buy something for 5 bucks and be happy.....
Crazy R2 is 9 bucks, and you get P-Verb On TOP...

I love Phoenix verb on small rooms especially so this is a no brainer for me. Thanks for the heads up!

Big thumbs up, I might get a second copy for my second computer. These can only be licensed to one device.

I have the Excalibur and Phoenix Verb, so I figured it can't hurt to add the R2 for 10 bucks. The only problem is installing Plugin Boutique's plug-ins almost never install without hair pulling road blocks.
I've got 200 - 300 plug-ins installed, so it's not me.
It's in my component folder, "installation successful", i Lok has it activated ( finding the activation code was an annoying guessing game), it shows in my Logic Plug-In Manager, but still won't show up when I try to instantiate.
I sent a note to customer service. Even just finding the customer service contact email address was like finding a needle in a haystack, very frustrating.

You might have to register it with Native Instruments with their website registration and/or their "installation manger" central program thing, worth looking into if you haven't tried that yet.

I think you mean IZotope not Native Instruments but, regardless, iZotope has never incorporated the Exponential Stuff in to their installation manager - which I find really odd, off putting, and a real weak point of the install process. You probably do have to register it on the iZotope website though - good tip!

My bad, yes iZotope of course! They have that weird triple authentication thing or whatever it is.

Worked flawless here. A thing off minutes....
The plates are killer in R2 never heard so lush plates in a plug in. Love them on SD.

I would use R2/4 for vocals, maybe guitar, Phoenixverb/Nimubs on drum bus, maybe acoustic guitars, as almost a room sound, space, ambience. Sometimes on a mastering project if the recording is too dry.

Do these run on iLok authentications? yes I'll probably buy it and then have it cracked. I don't keep production studio workstations connected to the central intelligence hive.

Ward, I'm curious. Let's say you download the plug-in and authorize via iLok. When you run your DAW, iLok isn't talking to "iLok Central" is it?
I assumed the connection was only when you go directly to iLok to adjust some settings.

I have all the Exponential reverbs. Insane buy now prices. Impossible to pass up because they sound great and the price could not be cheaper. All my Izotope stuff is on iLok and I rarely connect the studio computer to the internet, so that should not be an issue. I've never had iLok tell me it had to connect.

I seriously wonder if iZotope is going to put out versions of these that run on ARM chips (Apple Silicon). They might not. They haven't said publicly as far as I'm aware.

Running via Vienna on my old intel machine would not be a big deal.... What ever they decide, I am prepared - blessed times.

I assumed the connection was only when you go directly to iLok to adjust some settings. There are an AWFUL lot of professionals who keep their DAWs air-gapped at all times because of 1. the history of software developers and their programmed in need to check, verify and update your software. 2. The unexpected crashes that happen from such activity. "Pro Tools has unexpectedly quit, please ..." 3. Malware. Things creep in, they are malevolent. 4. Spyware including snooping hackers looking through people's built in cameras, which taxes resources. Bad. You never know what's going to happen. And yes, sometimes software pings the ilok to make sure "everything is working right". I.E. you don't owe them money. It's a widespread paranoia I know, one that comes from working with a DAW that can connect to the interwebs. May have been more prevalent in the 90s 00s and 10s than today, but things don't tend to get 'better'.

Well, the issue seems to be Logic needed to rescan the new plug, but it wasn't doing so.
There is a technique to make that happen, but it took some time and frustration before I found it. Once I did, the R2 was there with my other Exponential Reverbs.
It would be a good thing if Izotope included these instructions instead of letting new users suffer and then have to shuttle back and forth between internet searches, Logic forums and the hard to find customer service.
Haven't tried R2 yet. For plate reverbs I use Liquid Sonics 7th Heaven first, Sound Toys Little Plate is my second choice, UAD's EMT-140 is my third choice. I wonder if I will find any use for the R2 plates?
