Nice! That's more anesthesiologist territory though.

Cool, time to rob a bank.
I noticed that none of his Duesenbergs are up for sale.

Bummer... his Sherwood green Strat isn’t there.

Ha. No shit. Wish I was a doctor so I could afford to be a musician.

Baaah... that's just the gear he isn't using and doesn't care about. Not the real good stuff!
Or at least that's what I'll tell myself to believe.
That looks like the Tom Petty warehouse in the video? Not his home studio? Since Tom passed 3 or 4 years ago I wonder if its time to clean out the building and maybe that's most of the gear Campbell has stored there?
Lemme know when the Billy Gibbons collection goes live. Not that I could afford any of his junk either.

His home studio is in the 'lockdown', video.

Apparently the videos I was looking for have disappeared from the web... I can find traces, media articles but that's it.
In 2012 there was a 15 episode "movie" hosted by Mike Campbell about his guitar collection. Mostly focusing on the ones that have been important to him, like the infamous Broadcaster and Rics.
One of the episodes was a guided tour of his home studio... the Neve, the Soundcraft they actually made most of the albums with... and there were literally piles of guitars everywhere. In cases. Out of cases. Guitars on top of guitars.
Only time I've ever seen anything like it was at Sonic Youths studio. They had hundreds and maybe there's some trick photography but it seemed like Campbell had more..?

Campbell's voice sounds a lot like Petty in that clip. It's like he heard him so long he started to sound like him.

Love the cheesy line in the ad, "I hate to part with some of these, but something's got to go."
Come on Mike, you don't hate it, do you. :-D

Like to know what considerations were made. Before Reverb was bought out I would guess no fees for Mike, now no fees and probably some nice cash payment.

There is no way he's selling anything that has any personal meaning to him. Not sure why he would do it, other than reverb maybe paying a premium for him to list some unused stuff to drive traffic?

Anybody who has been in this industry for over 20 years has a bunch of stuff lying around. For some one who is well known cleaning out the closet can be a major pain in the ass. If Reverb has set this up so that the Artist doesn’t have to do much work and the fans can get their hands on something that was owned by a favorite with some documentation great. Hell I might pick up John Hiatts old drum machine to doodle around on and annoy my new loud neighbors for $100.

Jack White, David Bowie, the Black Keys, the blues, Beck, T Bone Burnett, etc, what's old is new again.

How did Harmony ever become such a desirable brand? Growing up, everyone dreaded getting a Harmony 'passed down'. I lump Harmony in with stuff like Danelectro Teisco & Silvertone. Gear that's kinda funky and cool because it's not just another Fender. If your looking for something kinda lofi & different they can work. There are also some luthier & tech types out there now who can rebuild em better then new. Neck reset, fretwork... fit a new bridge that'll actually intonate... Bask in day nobody would've bothered doing that work on a beginners guitar. Today a beginners ride like a Squier strat can actually be a decent playable instrument... but it's also just another strat.
