Finding it really difficult to find a set of filters that meet my needs;
1. Stereo operation or stepped/detented for a mono pair
2. Hpf that can go to around 250hz or higher mark. Lpf to 6khz or lower.
3. High sonic quality; passive/inductor based, decent op amps etc.
4. Somewhat affordable.
5. 500 series or rack mounted.
6. Works well for both tracking and buss processing.
If only Chandler did the Curve Bender filters as a standalone!
In an ideal world, the LTL Chop Shop would be exactly what I need. However that's no longer an option unfortunatley.
The API 565 is cool, but is more for mono tracking.
Heritage Symp Eq also seems awesome, but the filters don't quite go far enough.
I'd love a pair of 1081 filters as a stand alone, but I haven't seen anything like that either.
The filters will be sitting as inserts on my Silver Bullet, before 1176 comp.
Any suggestions guys? I don't mind going with clones, lesser known names, or assembled DIY kits. Provided it can do what I need.
Thanks!

The ChopShop is being revised and unlikely to be ready before 2022.
The Chambord looks cool, but yeah, no website.
I had seriously considered the ML2, but the LPF doesn't go quite far enough for me (I like taking a lot of highs off high gain guitars)
That Iron Age filter box is cool!

This is really cool! Did the client have specific slope / bax frequencies in mind or is this based on something else?

Filter slopes were his ask, baxandall was classic.

Outside suggestion... If you have an old Drawmer 201 gate (or similar) kicking around you can select key listen and sweep the filters as active EQ without gating. Might be too aggressive but good trick to have in the bag.
I dig the API 565 underrated box. Have only used them for tracking but they have tremendous range & overlap between bands... plus the tone. Shoved a bunch of things through them, maybe best to think of them sort of like a cut only 550? Kinda??

Weird I was just thinking the same thing! It’s always surprising how a little filtering at the top, and bottom can really round out a sound (especially in digital recording) The trident looks worth checking out! Anyone try it? Quality parts? Can I mod it?

Or buy an old crossover, I had quite a few sitting in my go racks over the years for this exact purpose. In the old days filters were hard to find.
