So I bit the bullet and snagged one finally, but it isn't coming to me with a clip. Justifying spending $50 for a stupid mic clip sounds completely insane, but I'm curious if others have found any workable solutions/alternatives to buying the overpriced Sennheiser clip for these things? it's still my fave bottom snare mic, so will definitely see use there and maybe on a guitar cab every so often.
I guess there's always duct tape? I do have some velcro strappy thing I think I can rig to an existing clip base, but thought I'd ask the universe.

I’ve used the spring-loaded, clamp style clips with 441s before. It holds them on the corners, so it’s sort of diagonally situated. But it works. I’m kind of painfully aesthetic when it comes to gear so I always have to get the actual clip for 441s, but it is a dumb cost.

If your local dealer has trouble getting one for you at a reasonable price (and remember, it's a specialized clip unlike a standardized Shure type) ask Sennheiser for assistance.

I can’t remember which one but one of the Rycote mounts works great and can be used for other mics. Always nice to have a mount that works on more than one mic at that price & the shock helps on drums. The other is find somebody with a 3D printer, couldn’t find it but I know there is a CAD file out there on the net because I have used some ugly lime green ones.

Yeah 3D printing is awesome, when Jeff got rid of the API knobs I know a guy who wanted a bunch was to late and couldn’t justify the cost of having the OEM do a run so he 3D printed some to his specs. They don’t feel like the metal ones, but he made some small changes and they are more comfortable to work on. I think most of the Rycote stuff is 3D printed. I remember the old days when it was all hand made.

The Rycote USM or USM-L will fit but it might be a bit bulky depending on the application. The INV 7HG MKIII is too small as are the INV-6 & 7. I just went ahead and got the black rubber Sennheiser one. I've seen them for $37.99.

Oh man, if you look at those old clear ones wrong they break.

When I had mine I just spent the $50, bit the bullet. Miss that mic a lot. Just saw ragan's video singing into one, very cool. "The lakeside is everywhere," love that line.
