matt@IAA, Locomotive Audio, audioscape, nomatic, raddistribution, traceaudio, waveHoping to run into you all this weekend. I'll probably be at NAMM in the afternoon on Thursday and all day Friday. Any of you guys got connects for after hours studio events? Anything cool going on? When I went to AES a few years ago, I bussed in and out of NY for a day trip and there was all sorts of stuff going at night that I missed. Now I'm heading to Nash for a few days and I'm not finding anything. haha

I (Charlie), unfortunately could not make it this time - but Chris and our Operations Manager, Shawn, will be at the booth. Should be a blast! I have no clue on anything going on after hours. I know when Chris and I did Summer NAMM in 2019 - we were WAY too burnt to do anything but go back to our Air BnB, talk, and then crash... haha. Looking forward to you see the guys!! ❤🙏😍

So Namm is happening now eh? I'd be interested to hear an independent report... what the general vibe is.
Don't do the Namm thing myself but I usually have friends who go. Not this year.
One of my friends who goes, or at least sends someone manages a big local music store. They always attend but not this time... no reason. Probably half the lines they sell cut off ordering earlier this year and are playing catch up.
Martin stopped taking orders in February, Mesa Boogie wasn't far behind. Said it's been like a 10 month wait on US built PRS guitars... Fender ain't much better. Hasn't seen an Ibanez or Tama rep in over a year.
For the store if they can't do business and order product they aren't attending, and with over half their lines in perpetual backorder they aren't going.

Sad, but I guess that's how it is. It's a good time to sell right now, if anyone's got gear to sell. I got the last Epiphone LP Standard 50s in their warehouse.
Plugins on the other hand... sales everywhere right now.

Jesse, I hope you can at least concoct some made-up story that will excite us here on RGO. Maybe a fight you witnessed, or a throw-down dare between a clone maker and an OG manufacturer.

I have been to summer NAMM before and it is usually small and nothing like LA but I was hoping with all the pent up desire for things to return to normal manufacturers and consumers would come out in force.

I popped over and met Eric locomotive and Chris from Audioscape. I missed Matt, but I'll catch those guys again tomorrow. We still had our luggage, so needed to roll on. Crowd at AES a few years ago was much bigger. Barely a crowd today. No big vendors.

We're at Booth 101 - right up front; and for US - we were getting Winter NAMM level of foot traffic to our booth! Chris was telling me the first day was INSANE! BUT, y'all are right - there aren't many vendors in our "category" showing this year; which is a good thing for us (and our friends at Locomotive and Iron Age!!) 😍🙏😎

It’s usually the bowling shirt GC Dudes vs the old school greaser dudes. You can always tell the winners they didn’t shower the next day.
