Just want to give a public compliment to Robert Sistili of RMS Audioworks. Here’s the story: last summer, I bought a RMS M269 from a fellow RGOer, after consulting with a couple of the mic gurus here. I was hoping for a better fit with my voice than my MKU47. So, the mic arrived, I verified it was working, then packed it away for my move. It was in storage for five months. A few weeks ago, I was finally able to break it out and get to work. Unfortunately, the mic was very noisy. Something had happened to it in storage. I contacted Robert by email. He said likely the tube and gave me a couple of options to replace the tube. I decided to send the mic to its maker for a complete go-thru. Robert turned the mic around in one day, his rate was really good and communication was outstanding. He also verified this M269 has a Neumann capsule, re-skinned by Thiersch. I’ve been using the mic for the past two weeks and couldn’t be happier with the sound and build quality of the mic. And with the man who stands behind it. Anybody else have experience with RMS Audioworks mics?

Rob is very nice and responsive. I was a fan of his RMS 269 and only sold it to help fund a new computer when my old one crapped out. I pretty much regretted it until I picked up and modded an MK67 kit with Neumann parts. The RMS 269 was a bit more open than my MKU67, but had a beefy almost M49 style quality in the mid range. I’ve even debated grabbing another one at some point. Maybe even trying out one of his other mics. Anyway, if you want more of my thoughts on the matter watch the video below.

Anybody else have experience with RMS Audio mics? I've got one of his 269's and yeah, great mic. Have not had any issues where I needed to deal with Robert, but I've heard good things. Great mic, and fair prices.

I mixed and mastered an album that used a RMS 12 on most all the vocals. It was a praise and worship album with lots of different singers, male & female, young and old and it sounded great on all of them! I've been meaning to check out their mics ever since then.
