Pro Limiter by Avid L2, sometimes, I don't always love it's sound Elixir v3 is great
Need to try DMG Limitless And try Ozone again as well, wish you could just buy the limiter only.
For a lot of things though I use 2 limiters in series so one isn't doing all the work.

Im mixing an album and when I go to master it I want to try out Flatline which is a clipper plugin in series with a limiter. It looks interesting to me and sounds cool in the examples.

Fabfilter Pro L2. Does the job beautifully with no artifacts and great metering. The 1:1 comparison is really great.

For mastering I use Ozone limiter, but before it I usually have a clipper to just knock off the odd random transient by a dB. The DMG Track Limiter set to transparent mode is also very good. I used to use Elephant too but found it a little too fiddly. I was thinking of looking at the Boz Wall. Might be ok as a track limiter and the sale price is good.

Most often: Ozone9 or the free W1.

I've used Voxengo Elephant a lot over the years. PSP Xeon, too. Over the last couple years the Ozone limiter more.
The one I'm really liking and using more and more these days is the Softube Weiss offerings. Solid.

AOM invisible Limiter G2 on every track... I have done hundreds of tracks with this and it is still my fav after trying everything.

when using ozone, are you using limiter IV? i only got ozone elements, so only limiters I and II. but ... are you “hearing“ differences when only applying 1-2 db reduction?

A little clipping from JST Clip, a little limiting from Reaper's Event Horizon, and then I'll use the VladG Limiter N°6.
I like the last little clipping and ISP protection the VladG Limiter N°6 has.
I'm definitely trying to get my loudness from the mix and not work to find it in a mastering process. JST Clip tells me audibly when I'm pushing too hard. Event Horizon tells me audibly when I'm pushing too hard. I like knowing with no uncertainty about stuff like that.

Tokyo Dawn Limiter 6 GE on insane mode. Nothing else is close. DMG Limitless is a diy limiter construction kit and is missing half the features that give you loudness cleanly, keeping punch. The high frequency stuff in Limiter 6 is great.

I've had 3 main eras over the years
Fab Filter Pro L then Newfangled Elevate now Ozone 9 Maximizer
But the best process, sometimes is a blend of a couple of them together, for the biggest sound. For example, Elevate doing a lot, then Pro L just doing 1 or 2 dB more. A lot of times, you can skip the mix bus compressor with this method.
All three are fantastic and will beat out lesser competition.
Pro L is pretty normal sounding, just all around decent. Elevate has a lot of wonderful expert features, so I lean on it. Ozone seems to be able to get incredibly loud with minimal artifacts, and has a very simple interface. Flipping around the different modes, you'll find a good one for the material.

The TDR bundle + De-edger is the best deal in digital audio.

The TDR bundle + De-edger is the best deal in digital audio. I will probably pick this up when I get back home this afternoon. Put in my cart.

I bought Slate's FG-X mastering compressor/limiter ages ago. It was quickly outperformed by other plug-ins. Slate promised a version II to version one buyers, and eight years later still hasn't delivered. I've used Waves L2 a lot, but would like something like that, just a bit cleaner.

I've not used anything since Lurrsen just changed that game for me. It's the first solution for masturbing that I end up making it louder than I meant to...and having to back it down back into double digits. But, also--I'm not looking to fix shit about the mix. There's really little facility for that.
I'm telling you...track with Burl...pull tracks into Mixbus32c....mix...spit out 32/96 into Lurrsen...this is all getting a little too easy. I'm gonna have to start focusing on making better music or sompin'...
