Hi everyone. Just wondered who may be attending. And if you're going...
What gear (and who) are you looking forward to see? (I'll try to go in 2022-never been to Nashville) Thanks, Chris

Ok - we should have an RGO meetup. Just like a bar somewhere.

I just got my 2nd Pfizer shot. So I am good to go. What microphone are we going to use at the podium?
Should there be awards for different types of posts? Most funny? Most boring? Most posts in the last year? Most thread hijacks? I am working on a mask that doubles as a windscreen. (Ok - I can get the worst jokes award.) (All in good humor!)

Well I am planning on going and may even get a booth just to have someplace to hang. If I can convince Jakob Erland of Gyraf Audio to come he'll be there as well.

I might just make the 5 hour drive to have some bar hang time with the RGO cognescenti.

I haven't been in YEARS. I have a couple other travel destinations that are far more pressing, though.

Well - I will make sure we figure out a place to meet (a bar). So I’ve lived in Nashville since 1995…and used to frequent all the haunts (to my own detriment). But Nashville has grown so much and I’ve settled down…I haven’t kept up with the cool kid or the growth of the city. We had some friends staying with us this weekend and we took a drive around some of our favorite places. Holy shit. Nashville is a different place. In many ways good - just a few bad. What I really see is how there are neighborhoods that take pride in their name. SOBRO, WEBRO, Germantown, midtown, east Nashville, Lockland Springs, etc. all this to say - I live 20 minutes out of the city and downtown has changed so much, It’s like I’m rip van winkle and woke up 20 years later. So - I guess all that to say - let’s pick a really cool place just off of downtown where namm is and have a blast.

Not sure we can beat the first RGO get together - donr Buck Dharma sitting in with a band and killing it. But I’d love to meet you guys as long as you promise not to kill me.

Btw - I haven’t been to 5th + Broadway right across from the Ryman, but it looks cool as hell.

As someone who lives in LA the idea of doing anything where people are or traveling anywhere gives me the heebie jeebies after a year of avoiding people as much as possible.
I went to NAMM Anaheim 2020 and was struck by how “over” those type of things I was and decided not to go back and that was BEFORE I got really sick like 10 days afterwards. Covid wasn’t a “thing” yet (although they now say it was here in Nov 19) but my doctors think I had it - sick for 3 weeks, trouble breathing, couldn’t taste or smell, extreme fatigue, etc. I’m not sure I got it at NAMM as my relatively healthy father in law had just passed away from an undiagnosed respiratory illness a couple weeks prior (!!) and my wife had been flying back and forth between LA, SFO and NYC so it could have been from anywhere but it really sucked - worse I’ve ever felt.
Take care of yourselves!

Yes I remember the nammfluenza everyone got. I think it should be a better than average turn out because of the pandemic and it has been many years since I've been in Nashville.

I might be up for it, just have to see if I'll be vaccinated and etc by then, that would be an exciting break out from this isolation.

They are opening up my State (Utah) to everyone in a week or so. And I have children that were able to get vaccinated a week or so ago in some counties where there are quite a few people hesitant to get the vaccine and the local governments with vaccines on hand do not want to waste the vaccine at the end of the particular day. So, hopefully, something will open up for you soon! I am not sure where you are located, but I hope it becomes available soon. I will say, that I felt a background stress perhaps all year that seems to have disappeared a lot, since I got my second dose of Pfizer last Thursday.

What's the date of Summer NAMM? I'll try to make it if I can. I haven't done a summer show in decades, but with no Anaheim, I'd go to Nashville.

What's the date of Summer NAMM? I'll try to make it if I can. I haven't done a summer show in decades, but with no Anaheim, I'd go to Nashville. JULY 15–17, 2021 I may be able to attend. Cheapest direct flights from here would get in Wednesday night, and leave Friday around 5:15 PM. Is all day Thursday and most of Friday enough time? Also, a big part of me coming would be to meet up. If that would be happening Friday night or Saturday then I'd miss out. I could also fly back Monday, but that's a work day and I'd also have more hotel costs. Unless I bring my wife and we make it an extended weekend to see more of Nashville.

If it's not asking too much guys...
A Post-Summer NAMM, Zoom Video Meetup would be appreciated.
I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend the last one, that Mark kindly hosted. I'd do my best, to at least visit next time. Chris

We'll wait and see if Summer NAMM happens. My 2021 tour dates are still being moved back mostly.
