I've got two JHS A/B splitter pedals that are a couple of years old, yet crapped out. Any recommendations on a true A/B bypass switcher for instrument level? One where when A's on B is completely out of the signal path, for example? I don't have time to DIY right now, so need something that's ready to go and bulletproof from hum and issues. Edit: Found the Road Rage version. Looks pretty trusty. 2nd Edit: The term A/B/Y seems common and makes more sense.

I used a Lehle Dual SGoS amp splitter for years playing live and it worked really well, they make a smaller version as well.

Radial ABY the passive cheaper one is very good it has phase flip ground lift and transformer iso options plus a tuner loop that I have not used don't think this thing is going to crap out ever the construction is quite robust

Thanks for the head's up on that! So reasonably priced as it is, really, IMHO, but a few bucks off would be a no-brainer at this point.

I prefer the active buffers for keeping weird interactions from happening between interconnected amps and gear.

Will check that one out as well. I've had good luck with Radial stuff.

I have the Radial Headlight and I love it.
Before that I was using an el-cheapo Morley ABY.
The Headlight can do 4 outputs, and you get 3 phase switches and 3 ground lift switches which are in fact necessary with some larger rigs. Say one of your wall of amps is out of phase with the others, you can fix it. Say you have a ground loop buzz (very common here), you can flip around until you find it.
There's also a "blower" switch which will turn all 4 outputs on, or you can turn it into a mute. As well there is a tuner output. Pretty cool box.

Sounds like solid unit, especially the phasing. I've got a Little Labs PCP specifically for guitar to multiple sources (and other stuff like reamping, etc.) that's awesome. What I wanted the basic A/B/Y for was to route to a tuner.

I solved that specific tuner need with a TC clip-on tuner. Otherwise, the Fulltone works great.

I got the PolyTune clip but usually use it in regular mono mode. I have two of them and they’ve been great for guitars, mandolin, banjo, you name it.

Thanks for this thread! I didn't realize there were so many options from Radial!!
Is there one out there for switching heads? Where input and output can be simultaneously switched, and one amp's output goes to a load box when switched out? Cos that would be the bomb.

It will only A/B two heads though. Surely there is something out there that can do more than 2.

Radial also has the Twin City AB/Y for anyone looking for a simple A/B/Y with polarity and ground lift.

Thought I'd follow up. Got these in today and they are super solid. Tracking bass tonight so will have a chance to test them out. Hand made and tested before shipping though. Edit: These are working awesome. Absolutely no clicks or sound whatsoever when switching. Highly recommend. roadrageprogear.com

They seem to be just an A B splitter. I bought a cheap Sonicake A B Y last year thinking, "How bad can it be?" Very bad.

Ahh, yes - I see. I use these to go either to a tuner or to the amp. For the Y functionality, I use the Little Labs PCP.
