Two more pages added since the other day? Man y'all crazy if any of you are still thinking folks are going to change their minds after 14 pages..
Anyway, I had my second shot of Moderna on wednesday afternoon.
Wednesday night I got a bit tired and my arm was a tiny bit sore but nothing really happening unlike the first time so I thought that I might be out of the woods.
Boy was I wrong.
Yesterday I woke up and felt like I had worked out every part of my body to the maximum. Heavy soreness all over and very exhausted. I took the day off from work which ended up being a good thing since later in the day the slight fever and chills started to ramp up.
At one point I was so cold my fingers were turning blue and I was shivering uncontrollably. I had to get into a hot shower and sit there for a while in order to feel warm. It finally passed and never came back thankfully. I ate dinner and was asleep by 9pm.
Strange fever-type dreams all night kept waking me up every hour or so and I never felt comfortable.
Today I feel better than I did yesterday but still quite tired and still a bit achey but it seems to be slowly getting better.
They said it felt like the flu and they weren't kidding. It wasn't as bad as when I had the swine flu (that was probably the sickest I've ever been besides maybe this stomach bug I had for a week in 1996), but it was worse than the body effects of a normal cold.

Wife and I got our second Pfizer shot last week. I had a sore arm for a day and was feeling a little foggy at work but was fine. Wife had a 102 fever for 3 days and was miserable.
Strange how it affects people differently.

I must laugh. Mike Wallace, 60 minutes and the Swine Flu have been cancelled. (previous video I posted) Heaven forbid we learn from history. I'm sure it will pop up again somewhere else, but it does make the reasonable person wonder..... I have it saved. I'll send you a copy on wetransfer

Odd that there are so few people who are asymptomatic to the jab! ..or not so odd that most choose not to post about their non-symptoms.

The symptoms are your secondary immune system kicking in. The tingle means it’s working.

Covid vaccine profits mint 9 new pharma billionaires - Source: CNN Glad to see in this time when 200,000 extra business closures have occurred during the first year of the pandemic that at least a few choice individuals have personally benefitted from the virus. Clearly they are pushing their own gain aside and leading their companies out of the pure goodness of their hearts and concern for the general public. Imagine what a combined $19.3 Billion could have done to keep businesses from going under and workers employed. A few key quotes: "Senior executives from China's CanSino Biologics and early investors in Moderna have also become billionaires on paper as shares skyrocketed, partly in expectation of profits earned from Covid vaccines,..." "These vaccines were funded by public money and should be first and foremost a global public good, not a private profit opportunity," "Pfizer expects its sales of the vaccine to total about $26 billion by the end of this year, with a profit margin approaching 30%." "Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine sales hit $1.7 billion in the first three months of this year and it had its first profitable quarter ever,...The company has received billions of dollars in funding from the US government for development of its vaccine." Draw you own conclusion as to the driving force behind each company's involvement. And the next logical step? Boo$ter $hot$.

Not much. The US has spent like 5 trillion in stimulus so far...
On the other hand I say thank God for profit motive. Next time a problem confronts mankind I want the people who can potentially solve it have plenty of rea$on$ to do so.

It's nice to see the MSM who just a few months removed from calling people anti-science and right-wing-conspiracists for suggesting the leak as the most plausible source of the virus, are finally coming around. I mean, it couldn't have been political reasons could it? Anyway, Vox just got caught editing a year-old virus source debunking article with new relaxed wording. Must be nice to be the ones documenting history so that you can also change it. You'd never need to be wrong or admit wrongdoing!

While I wasn't a fan of the previous president, nor the current one either, I have definitely seen my share of exactly this attitude. I'm still seeing folks talk about trump as if he's still in office and still somehow destroying their lives. It's nuts. I believe the righty news coined the term TDS, trump derangement syndrome, and I always thought it was somewhat bad taste doing so, but I can't shake the notion that there's actually people out there who have been driven mad at the media's direction.

The media is largely responsible for pouring fuel on the fire (almost literally regarding many of these ongoing riots) and also have blood on their hands for manufacturing either totally false narratives or lying by omission which triggered some into carrying out extreme acts of violence in the name of so called justice.

Apparently project veritas had obtained info that FB had been actively suppressing anything but positive vaccine info. Didn't matter if it was factual info, negative vaccine results or simply questions people had.

Now all we have is political correct speech.

Didn't matter if it was factual info, negative vaccine results or simply questions people had. Not surprising at all and I still contend that they have no one there with the scientific chops to make such a decision. So, what do we do now that some of the "fact-check: false" turns out to be false itself? Calling everything you disagree with a conspiracy is not going to be a very effective method anymore once this thing is all said and done.

From what I can see these so called ‘fact checkers’ are more akin to gatekeepers whose purpose is to maintain the official narrative and smear anyone who has a differing view as a ‘conspiracy theorist’, a term (I believe coined by the CIA) to discredit anyone who challenged the official JFK assassination narrative.

Today in the world of covid:
Biden was outed as the singular person who cancelled the investigation into the chinese lab origins of the covid virus. He's now ordered a report due in 90 days about the origin now that CNN outed him and his team is in damage control.
Fauci now claims that there is "no way to know if US tax funding made it's way into chinese gain-of-function testing on novel coronaviruses" despite first saying there was zero alliance between the US and china on this, then backpedaling and admitting that multiple US teams, including his own, have been working with the chinese on gain-of-function experiments over the years.
Johns Hopkins professor says that data shows that more than half of the US has a natural immunity to the coronavirus and that it works far better than the vaccines. He also says there is more research and data on natural immunity to diseases than there are of vaccine-induced immunity and the fact that politics was allowed to brush natural immunity aside to push vaccines was “one of the biggest failures of our current medical leadership.”. He also says that incidences of re-infection are extremely rare and the cases that have happened are generally asymptomatic despite being hyped by media.

I’d like to read that Hopkins professor. Does not match published research I’ve seen. The nasty part about natural immunity is you have to get sick in order to get it. Brushing it aside in favor of vaccination seems like a no brainer.
You can gain natural immunity to smallpox and polio too.
Edit - unless you mean people who are naturally immune and can’t get it period for whatever reason? As far as I know there probably are some like this - there seem to be some people immune to flu, I saw a meta analysis that said maybe 16%. But how would you know who is and isn’t? We don’t know that clearly for flu, and those that are immune, we don’t know why. So what do you do with that information?

Johns Hopkins professor says that data shows that more than half of the US has a natural immunity to the coronavirus and that it works far better than the vaccines. This may be true; natural immunity is a wonderful thing ..but only if you have it. Isn't this professor ignoring the data that shows that a significant percentage of the the "other" half die ..not to mention the suffering of long-haulers? Until he can predict who has natural immunity, I'm hedging my bets with a vaccine.

"Significant percentage"? What would that be? The <1% of case-fatalities, 80% of those being infirm, elderly and unhealthy people? The estimation that 50-80% of cases are asymptomatic? That 1 out of 10 people have tested positive for the virus? If 1 out of 10 get tested due to symptoms, so if 50-80% are asymptomatic, then we can assume that 5-8 out of 10 have been infected and not known it. They are now naturally immune. Mask and social distance mandating was due to fear of the high percentage of asymptomatic people and the fear of them being infectious carriers. We now know that masks and social distancing only made about 1% of difference in the total infections, we also know that 90% of all cases came from inside the homes shared with family members, and we know that asymptomatic people are not infectious carriers. i think the point is that the combined data show that the majority of people in the USA have been exposed already. The major downturn in cases (and deaths) started months before vaccines were even partially available. Herd immunity had already started, most likely due to asymptomatic cases. We're currently about 50% vaccinated in the contiguous USA. "Reinfection" is mostly myth drummed up by hungry media after the first wave of hysteria died down. "Long haulers..." Mostly just a few editorial mountains made from molehills. I feel bad for the people that it's happened to, but it's also extremely rare. Then it was "it's going to kill the kids" which never happened. Kids seem mostly unaffected. A few cases have been peppered on headlines, but again, mostly media frenzy. "All the teachers are going to die!" Other countries went back to in-person learning last year and none of them saw any problems with kids or teachers. "Superspreaders!" Which haven't happened. Anywhere. "Gyms and bars are going to spread it!" Nope. Never happened. "All the red states are going to see huge spikes!" Nada. Nothing. Neanderthals or not, full bars, stadiums, gyms, supermarkets and lack of masks and social distancing haven't turned out to be the end of their lives despite the left's wringing of hands over it.
