How much power does it require? Can I hook it up to a USB-A port?

Any specific ideas about round trip latency through the DAW with this one? Using the current driver.

Only thing that looks off putting is made in China Lets remove everything China made from your live. I guarantee you will hate your life. First no smartphone anymore, your car stops to work. Many modern tools which we use in medical technology MRT or PET-SCAN. Gone. Modern miniature pace makers gone. Lets remove everything Chinese from an API console, This would make a fun YT video. I hate to say it but: Western lifestyle is BF without China.

With the cost of the word clocks and cost of the past converters, how is it possible to do something GREAT for $399? Hahaha! Love this... How soon the young guys forget how many great recordings were made before digital with tape decks and dynamic mics, and a few Neumanns. And engineering...

How much power does it require? Can I hook it up to a USB-A port? Absolutely. In fact it ships with both usb-a to usb-c and usb-c to usb-c cables

Ummm, I’m no spring chicken and I am not comparing the production of decades past with what’s used now. I am simply comparing BLA products and the stalk of this being revolutionary.

So this is a usb c device, but you still need that latency transfer knob from the old usb interfaces? Is that necessary only when plugged in with the usb a cord? Usb c is supposed to be near zero latency. Converters or not, if this isn't near zero in latency you could make this 50 bucks and I couldn't buy it. I like the bla stuff though.

I saw yesterday talk from BLA about this being better than their previous Sparrow converters.

I saw yesterday talk from BLA about this being better than their previous Sparrow converters. It was a painful realization on our part considering how much we love the white sparrows, but yes, we have all chosen the revolution 2x2 over the sparrows in double blind testing. We couldn't be more proud of what we have achieved with the Revolution 2X2

I guess no one else is gassing for this? The more I see it, the more interesting it seems. For this to be rated as best in their system puts it ahead of their sparrows, the best AVID and Apogee units with their mods and more. Sure seems more interesting to me as time goes on. I am holding out to see some reviews.

I ordered one From VK, but had to cancel when I found out the delayed delivery would take place when I was out of the country.
Early on I was able to compare a BLA modded UAD Twin with a regular one (silver edition - 2015 I think) and it was a significant difference, especially in the DA like the headphone outs.
I really like their work. This seems very smart with a perfect feature set, TB3 (I think - I forget now) and doesn't need special drivers? For $399? Seems pretty terrific.. I may try again later in the year. Please do let us know if you get one - reviews have been pretty scarce out there.

USB-c is tbolt?
It will be good to hear more user reviews: converter accuracy is one thing , their sound quality, texture and dimensionality are others.

A friend wants an interface and he only needs a simple one to learn Logic and track for songwriting purposes. So... is USB 3 the same as Thunderbolt? My friend uses Mac's.

USB-c is the same as tbolt 3, if the Mac is tb2, you can use the tb2-3 converter.

ahh.. thanks kcat!
So, it's exactly he same connector?
I wonder why they just didn't call it Thunderbolt. I guess that's an Apple name.

It's not the "same" as USB3 but it was strategically designed to use the same connector and most chipsets have been developed to negotiate with either protocol.

Thunderbolt 3 and usb-c are NOT the same thing. Thunderbolt 3 does indeed use a usb-c connector but the connections and cables themselves are different. A usb-c device can be used in any usb-c jack but a thunderbolt 3 device can only be used with a thunderbolt 3 jack... even though the jacks themselves look identical. To make this even fun for you, the cables look the same... but aren't. Often 3rd party vendors do not do a fantastic job of specifying which format the cables they are selling are. General rule of thumb is if a device is specified for usb-c, it will work in any computer with any type usb-c connection but devices specified for thunderbolt 3 will only work in computers that say they have thunderbolt 3.
