Haha I don’t think I was close either! Surprised I don’t hear the mid forward ness from the Flea Thiersch skinned M7 in clip A as I hear it in B & C. I used my iPad Pro, Xs, & reg earbuds, usually can get a good idea from those 3 since I hear so many things daily from them. Will def go back & listen on the FP01’ s! Thanks for this

Also, have some MÄAG eq happening post compression. So, obviously not a straight shootout of the mics, but more of the way I track with them, if that makes sense. Got it! I'm liking the Flea on this. Mic B has a nice balance, no pokey freqs but sounds a bit dull, I opened it up a bit in the HIgh end and it's nice but a bit bland. That's what I like about 87s usually, it often doesn't add a ton of excitement but it works, though this version of it sounds rather dark. If it's using the Microphone Parts K87, I'm not surprised, in my experience the Mic Parts capsule is quite a bit darker than the Neumann K67/87. Didn't get into the Beezneez as much, didn't have the excitement of the Flea. Really pleasantly surprised by the Flea here, How much High end Are you adding? The one I used was way way darker than the U47s I had next to it.

I had no idea which mic was which, but I'm thoroughly unsurprised I had a slight preference for the M49ish mic, followed by the U47, and then the U87. At least my taste is consistent... I think.
