Stumbled across this YouTube channel. They have tear downs & walk thru’s of some of our faves. Buddy explains that most of the THD in 1176 comes from the transistors not the transformers. Learned most compressors convert AC voltage into DC for the compressor side chain. He also makes color modules & other gear. Yup. Love those vids. He makes cool gear. Pultec style 500 series EQs he makes in kit form look pretty fun.
