I think a lot of folks could do it. These guys don't want to. It's only getting worse. I'm trying to drown my sorrows in music and gear.

Yeah, there isn't much you can't do yourself with the information on the internet. You think there's a DIY on the internet for balancing the Federal Budget? Maybe we can send our knuckleheads a link... Yep. It's called bloggers. The media is already in bed with either of the two main political parties, but there are commoners who can still throw out good suggestions that the government, if so inclined, could listen to. We all know they won't do such things, as it would only be an admission of failure, much like why the government just keeps spending money on programs that have never worked rather than stopping and doing something different. To them, it's easier to just pile on more laws rather than fix the old ones that don't work. Partly because they are lazy and can't be bothered to work FOR the people anymore, and partly because it would essentially tear apart all the ways they put extra money in their own wallets.

I have really liked all the mics I have had modded by MJE. Used one of the hulk 990's on finger picked folk acoustic guitar on a session Saturday and it was perfect. It's the best sound I have recorded from this player. And I have tried a lot of different mics, nothing real high end but all good mics. I have a modded 319, 012 pair, 2500 tube, Hulk 990, and 910 ultimate Sdc. They all have different voices and uses.
My 2 cents. Michael also stands behind the mics. Sold a modded 219 to a friend and he started having problems with it. I could not verify that it truly was a MJE unit since I bought it used. Michael took care of it no charge. Now that is service.

I'm surprised nobody has used the k47h. It's SUCH a sweet sounding mic. Best bang for buck I've encountered in mics.

Forget bang for the buck - it's the closest thing to a 67 that I've used other than the real thing. A fabulous mic, and IMO, the best thing he's ever done.

has anyone used their RCA44 clone? I am considering pairing it with my MR-CV4. I've never had much luck with ribbon mics on my horns, tho.

Just tracked an entire albums worth of female lead vocals with it. Own a pair. Straight up great mic. Beat 4 high end mics in multiple shoot outs.

HAS ANYONE USED THEM ON TOMS! I have been wanting to hear this for a long time. I tried em once and pulled em off. The CADs went back on. Overheads and rooms are great though.
