Chase the X all had the same AD, while the x16 had the top of the line DA. Just on the main stereo output though, right? All the line outs have the same DA as all the other interfaces? Yes, that is my understanding, just main outs.

In terms of UA flexibility with plug in substitutions, a guy who just bought the Ultimate package was wondering how heritage works for him ? Drew said , CS would work with him, not certain if that means a voucher for future ua written plug ins or that they will allow substitutions and selection of 3rd party plug ins, which I believe are not included in Ultimate. that would be very flexible of UA, as I thought it was prevented from offering deals on the 3rd plug ins ? Certainly, worth the call !

I was researching PT Carbon, HD IO w HDX ( can’t believe it is $7000, still ) Lynx N, & UAD last night. If PT carbon had a 2 or 4 mic pre interface like Lynx or UAD I would go with that. I don’t need 8. Lynx pricing is very fair and actually cheaper than the original Aurora units.
Want to expand my recording & mixing capabilities to where I don’t have to worry about anything lol ( latency, HW inserts etc ) & it seems a PT/ Avid interface is my only solution which is scary.
What could make a UAD Apollo print HW inserts in time sample accurate for 3+ years then all of a sudden a clients session doesn’t & ever since it’s not sample accurate.
My PT pref do not let my I/O be over written. Always work at 48 kHz. Could opening a 44.1 session affect this permanently?
