Last I had heard was the bodies come this month, which is what was causing the hold up, so I don’t think they’ll immediately mail out, but as he finishes them this month some might, I’m expecting next month for shipping now...

Let us know what you hear, I’m dutifully waiting too They actually just responded. It seems to be more of the same. We're having supplier delays, etc., etc. Every time I send them an email inquiring about my mic, they also offer me to exchange it for something else. So I'm not sure what that's about. I just want the SA67. I don't want something else instead.

Ha! If this were just a normal purchase, I probably would have already bailed, but since it's using my 50% discount, I'm determined to continue being reasonably patient to see this thing through. I will get it eventually...

Even if its good or a few hundred bucks cheaper. What I can't understand is why the guy doesn't make a proper business of it like Warm have for example. Why the long lead time - he obviously has a lot of followers. If my Pro Audio retailers stocked his products there's a few I would of bought myself. I just don't have the patience to wait months, even by some buyer feedback, years! - even next day delivery is a long wait for me after I've paid and made a decision :-) Look at Coil Audio - they've been around for a few years yet my local pro audio guys had stock of their units and I got one next day delivery. If Stam did the same - the business would surely grow substantially - I'd be a customer for starters.

any updates on the next batch of 67s? stam I may be down for a pair of these also, just not sure I have the stomach for the process. I'd love it if they could just build a bunch and put them for sale. I can't figure out the business model for the life of me. It seems exhausting, putting out fires constantly when the time and energy could be used to build and sell.
If not the Stam, are there any other serious contenders for 67 clones coming down the pike soon?

Covid has interrupted so many lives and destroyed many businesses here. I think in Chile, (where Stam products are made), the shutdowns have been even more severe than NY.
I do wish you could all get an SA67 easily. I hadn't done any tracking since Covid began. My buddy needed a vocal last week for a track of his, so I plugged in the SA67 and was seriously taken aback. It sounded so damn good it was ridiculous. As soon as I can, I'll do a comparison with a U67, but right now, I feel really lucky to have it here.

I *really* like the ADK Z67. Modeled more on the M269, but a very 3D microphone. So strong on male vocal. Google can lead you to some otherwise more convincing takes on the mic. Another company in my experience which combines outstanding communication with customer service. Their Z251 is mighty good, too.

It’s seriously good. It’s not the same as the U67 though.

I do think the shut downs have been the largest factor in the delays, which (as far as I understand) is effecting more of his supply chain than employee output (could be wrong, but he mentioned people are still building the boards, just waiting for bodies and various parts), but im not up on what's going on in Chile so im hoping stam can chime in and let us know where theyre at. Also, didn't Carlos mention after his 87 run he would be looking at 67s? Still, im holding out for a stam with a TC67 capsule...sounds like an amazing combo. I jdo kind of wish the bodies looked a little nicer, but hey, that why theyre under $2k instead of over!

I have heard from more than one gear manufacturer that getting parts over the past year plus has been a huge ordeal. If anyone can't wait and is interested in a 67 style mic I still say the Korby KAT with 67M capsule is hard to beat!

Still waiting on my SA-67 ordered in October.
I haven't been tracking bands this year due to pandemic, but I want this mic, and my main fear is once it's in stock I won't have the cash to complete the purchase. It's messing up my planning, as I want to start attempting to schedule sessions again.

Could you use a line of credit or some debt instrument. Or I think they will keep it for you and you can just pay it off over time .

I try not to carry debt. Just a smarter policy for me with inconsistent income. But the sooner I can get it in my hands, the sooner I can use it to make money.

I understand, maybe just give stam a head’s up about paying it off over time?

Still waiting on my SA-67 ordered in October. Child's play, my friend. I haven't been tracking bands this year due to pandemic, but I want this mic, and my main fear is once it's in stock I won't have the cash to complete the purchase. It's messing up my planning, as I want to start attempting to schedule sessions again. You've just got to save up the cash, then stick that cash somewhere that you won't be tempted to use it. A separate savings account, a PayPal account, an extra checking account somewhere, anything. If this particular mic is important to you (and mine was and is to me), you just have to set aside the funds and then not use them for ANYTHING else. And seriously, I wouldn't expect that mic in 2021, just to be safe.

how people put up with the ridiculous wait times is beyond me.
Stam has some customer quotes on their website where they say that it was totally worth to wait a year or longer. If you deal with smaller companies you may have to be patient because they do not have the manpower. For my taste I like to support smaller businesses because I know the money goes to pay families instead of greedy banks.
