I'm still waiting to receive my SA-67. It's been over a year now since I ordered it and paid my deposit, using my 50% discount. I've tried in vain to get an estimate on when I can expect to receive the mic.
I've recently been offered to buy something else instead, which is concerning. Has anyone gotten their SA67 recently? Are there further production delays going on again?

I would ask for refund, Stam is very good w/ refunds & will include fees back. Some ppl have waited even longer than your wait & received full refunds regardless of PayPal pay & return periods. Hope everything goes well for you & you get the result you want!

I finally heard back. They're telling me February. So hopefully it won't be too much longer.

They're telling me February. Grabbing the low hanging fruit here..... [standard stam joke] Feb. 2021 or 2022? Hope you get it soon man!!! Yeah, I hear you. My expectations were reset after waiting a full two years for my pair of ADFs... At least in the case of the 67, I'm more prepared for the wait. I was just wanting to make sure that Stam hadn't hit some snag with the 67, resulting in the possibility that I might never receive the 67. As long as it's still in the works, and I will eventually receive it, I can deal with the wait this time. The fact that I'm getting the SA67 for $795 (50% discount) certainly helps to make the wait more tolerable.

I ordered one in October with the date listed as November. Haven't heard anything from the company saying the date has moved or anything like that.

STANDARD SNIPPING The fact that I'm getting the SA67 for $795 (50% discount) certainly helps to make the wait more tolerable. Man, that's one mic I would love to have as it's really close to a Neumann U67 giving me a close to matched pair for about 10-15% of the cost. Everything I've heard (sound clips and testimonials from guys like Martin John Butler) certainly make me confident. My original Stam SA2a still sounds and works great and that is a firm endorsement.

Bob Ohlson mentioned the Neumann U67 overhead being a huge part of the 60's drum sound. I use the SA67 as my main vocal mic, but should I ever have a place again where I can mic drums, I sure would love to give it a try, just to see.

how people put up with the ridiculous wait times is beyond me. Their ordering Auto-reply should read; “Hi, Your order will ship after you complain to the internet over 400 times”

Well, it has been said here before but because typically once people get their gear they are very very pleased with it?
Yes, we know , there are some problems with some gear, but that could happen with almost any gear purchase?
We, also see Josh building up his after sales and repair service.
Not perfect, but if you ultimately get gear you really value: guess the long game is played with patience, till your gear gets there ?

Exactly, as long as peeps know what they may be getting into. I believe Josh has multiple US techs, at least one on west coast and one on east coast or that was the plan?
About a year ago, I sent stuff to a tech in fla, he was very helpful and knew his stuff.

I've been told my (more "recent") deposit on a 67 (compared to OP) will be included in the batch this February, so I would assume you are as well -- you're almost there!

The “Willingness to wait” what-aboutism is not at all in question.. since it’s about having product releases and a deposit policy that is mis leading a large froth of people with inaccurate lead times.
After a while, that no longer played and people lived with it and the ones who didn’t were vocal.. sure they got their money back. I don’t think it’s ethical for them to move money like they are.
And Yet, willingness to wait keeps it going. But it’s already a failure to be up front and honest about their production schedule for “deposits on pre orders”.
I wouldn’t even want to wait on an email list for it after all that.
All they had to do was be up front about not knowing exact production lead times. It’s really very simple. But that lowers interest overall. Let it become a internet scripted lesson for future start up companies.

I think Covid had a lot to do with slowing recent production and is still negatively impacting delivery times. I believe businesses like Stam were closed for a while.

We were closed for 5 months and have been almost 8 months with less than half our workers at the lab but we managed to deliver almost all of the 67 orders.
We only have a few guys waiting on these. The bodies should be with us end Feb so we can make those and we will have cleared this list as well.
The mic will be placed out of stock on the website on Monday.
Not sure if we will make more anytime soon after those. I must focus on delivering the 251 mics and other pending orders (rackmount) until April, after that, and only if we have stock, it will be back on the website.

One step at a time: getting all back orders out the door has to be Job 1!

What's the lesson? People will do anything for a perceived good deal? People will burn $10 in gas to drive to a cheaper filling station to save $5. Of course, we're comparing gas to GAS

“until April, after that, and only if we have stock, it will be back on the website.”
If the tuff business promotion vs client satisfaction lesson learned here is the pre-order discount benefit is not worth the production delay to some not all, then the solution would be selling from in stock product.
Josh, is apparently making this commitment. The trick will be forward planning, parts ordering etc.?
I saw a fb post a while back from Josh asking people which version of his multi channel 76 comp they preferred and that only 1 would be made in the future. This plus, Josh’s quote above, seems to indicate that the business product line process and the ordering/supply process are being rationalized.
If so, that bodes well for Stam client satisfaction future and reduced client frustration due to excessive production delays.

Not trying to be confrontational here, but in another thread you said you delivered 3286 total Stam units in 2020. How is that possible if you were closed for 5 months?? Again, not trying to be argumentative, just curious. I thought you could only export/ship a low number every day.

I saw FB references to staff building from home during their lockdown, but I thought they couldn’t do final assembling, testing and shipping.
So, I thought they opened back up with many completed pcbs, so hit the ground with somewhat of a build head start ?

Last I heard, Stam was supposed to be delivering 67s this month (February). Has anyone received one this month or at least had any correspondence telling them that delivery was imminent?
