...but I can't explain what this mic does for me. It makes me want to practice. It inspires me. It gives suggestions. Nothing else I've ever used can do what it does.
There are two KM84s about 10 feet in front and spaced about ten feet apart just to give a bit of stereo ambience. Bass was overdubbed with the 47. Grace preamps. But the heavy lifting is all the 47.
Man, it's taken years to finally get here. The hard work and waiting was worth it.
Merry Christmas, all.
Haven’t had a chance to listen, but man, I’m really beginning to believe that tools make an enormous difference. There’s certainly a lot to be said for the whole “it’s not the arrow...it’s the Indian” but damn, really good arrows make you sound more like your heroes. Even changing my tele pickups to some Cavaliers - it’s like “ohhhh - THAT’S what has been missing.”
Congrats 🎉 this sounds great! Pardon my ignorance, is this a real TFunk/ Neumann Large Body W VF14m & M7/ K47?
What pre was used? How much gain & or trim ?
Will have a listen on my FP01 In the studio! Have listened to a few of @vincent R. Mic shootouts on YT & those are very interesting to hear.
My RTZ 9762 Dual Combo changes the sound of my Thiersch M7 blue line FET mic when around 35-40 gain & even more when impedance & termination buttons used ( changes tonality ) Also changes dep on how I gain stage into & out of the WA76 comp & how much GR as well.
