UAD is impressive with these updates, but I'm in no rush here, I'd rather wait until all the others companies I use catch up before switching.

Good to be prudent, but on the mi macs, you can run rosetta as a host for non big Sur certified 3 rd party plug ins. On paper, this is less efficient, but the m1 is so fast it seems to convert or Reskin the 3rd party plug ins instantly and things just run. My 2021 intel mbp likely opens plug ins more slowly !

We were THIS CLOSE to having this support on Nov 10th with 9.13.
BTW, this update will install and run on M1s but it's not supported. Official M1 support will come later.

So, of course some are running the new UA non big Sur approved UA OS on their m1’s:)

Only hitch is you have to reboot the computer into a recovery mode and then disable some things. it walks you through it. then you have to allow UAD. after that, it all works perfect. getting .08 roundtrip latency and .04 output latency reported. this is at 96khs. Not sure if that's accurate, but that's what logic is reporting. no clicks or pops. UAd plugs n loading fine. Ableton reports 1.33 overall latency at 96. everything works fine and as expected. this is on a m1 MacBook Pro with 8gb ram, 512 hd.@
