With all the hot and heavy plugin talk due to BlackFriday I thought I’d post this as I haven’t seen it mentioned here letimix.com/products/gainmatchThis is easily the most useful plugin I’ve purchased in a while and it’s only $9 til the end of the year they seemed to have looked at all the solutions for A/B’ing plugins at equal level and incorporated all of the best features then they released it and GS did what they do and vomited out tons of ideas and feature requests and the guy basically incorporated all of them (including AAX!) he’s said he’s working on the next version already. If you go to the site make sure you watch both or at least the newer video as it’s basically a different plugin now. There’s a demo too!

Thanks for sharing ... it looks like a cool way to get past the fact that most plugins bump the volume a little when engaged.
The left right acoustic balancing trick also seemed useful ...

There is a similar free plug in Pro Tools from 3.0 onwards called Normalize. You 'Normalize' a file/s to whatever percentage of maximum you want - make sure you choose to normalize to the peak position.
It might not be fancy but it has been effective for the 25 or so years I've been using it. It just takes more effort than many of the automated plugz.

Well yeah, but to quote Lisa Simpson "doing stuff sucks" but, to be more serious, how is that the same? I'm a pro tools user and Normalize processes a track whereas this goes on each side of a plugin or plugin chain and lets you flip back and forth from the processed vs. non-processed signal (or listen to the delta) non-destructively.

It's also super handy with the input knob option on the output/matching side plugin. Yesterday was testing Rogue 5 vs Rogue 6 in a Silver Bullet and was great to be able to try different drive levels while leaving the SB's knobs stationary yet keeping output matched, as well as an easy wet/dry built in.

Very well done plugin. A simple, but very polished tool.
But I'm kind of skeptical with this "level matching" drama while mixing. I mean, after every single move you do, EQ, Dynamics, Saturation, you'll change the balance of that element with the others tracks in a session, so you have to rethink how you want that, and that's neither what it was before, nor what it's after, without any compensation.
That said, this could be useful for tests and maybe to save some time in some situations. And it's cheap and very well done, like I said.

I tried it and it worked in Logic and LUNA .. so I bought it. I will also be using it to check what I am doing on a ZULU insert for example

Yeah I bought it mostly for testing also thought it may be useful for pseudo mastering to be able to listen to the signal pre processed to see if anything I did actually made it better or not

I think the demo highlights something I’ve been saying about plugins in general. Just because you have a dozen plugins you could apply to a track doesn’t mean you should.
