$3999 is steep but when you consider tracking through it, the analog limiter, the transformer options and using it as a master clock it would very well be worth it and replace several pieces of gear.

Depends how you see it: mastering grade ad/da are an easy 2 grand, plus you have limiting, transformers and the Neve silk and other options?

This could be amazing. The only bad RND piece so far was the headphone amplifier.

Side chain on the limiting too, he demonstrates that with the snare in one of the mixes, you can set the freq and the amount of limiting : heat and see it in the Leds!

Their language is a little unclear if it is AD only that back to agreeing with John’s first point: a little expensive ?

Yeah - it's AD only...paying for the limiter...I'm sure it's really good...but the Dangerous Convert 2 AD+ has a transformer emphasis thing and is $1500 less. From what I could tell, the Warren Huard examples sounded good...but I'm not sure it's a feature I really want on a converter.

Ticks a lot of boxes for me, truth be told, since I’ve been thinking about better conversion anyhow... if the limiter is a little luscious, I might be even more trigger happy. Hmm.

I kind of wish the word Mastering would stop getting thrown around so loosely though. No stepped controls so not as useable for mastering to me.
