Update! I’m on my feet 2 weeks early, it’s weird because the foot is still wrapped and bandaged, so standing / walking feels uneven, weird.
2.2 miles on my first day! Yeah I’m stupid.

OK
Being the absolutely brilliant person I am, feeling pretty good, I decide I’m going to kick a drawer shut with the left foot. Yep a couple of screams of pain later all’s good!
In bandagesd it looks a little weird next to my size 10.5 /11 right foot but in length It matches my wife’s size 5!

Yer gonna need custom shoes. I recommend something German, as they probably have the lock on wide and short, you could get ‘F’ width over there.

I figure I will do a 3D scan of it so I can play around with it in CAD then 3D print as I need to deal with wear and fit issues. Shoes have been an issue since 98. Most of both feet were burnt, except the bottom of one foot was used as a doner site. I can only try on 3 pairs of shoes at most in a day or I will have wear issues with somewhere. I need as much venting and as soft an upper as possible, yet ideally the protection of a Red Wing work boot would be ideal. I can’t tie shoes worth a damn. Did I mention if I find a pair that works I buy in bulk be defore they d/c them. The irony is my grandfather owned a shoe store and my best friend in high school has designed shoes for the big names like Nike. |

Well, on the bright side, at least you can feel pain in that foot now! Might keep you from ignoring injuries in the future.  |
