Oof. This is really rather embarrassing for someone who claims to have been an audio engineer once, but I'm stuck not completely understanding the Prism Sound Control Panel. I have the Prism Titan.
With my previous RME Fireface, I did the usual thing when hooking up a compressor via hardware inserts in Pro Tools. No problem. But when I did the same with the Prism Titan, it just doesn't work. There is no audio what so ever being routed through the compressors, even though I've done what I normally would do:
Prism outputs 5-6 to input on two compressors - outputs of those compressors into inputs 5-6 on the Prism, then slap a channel 5-6 hardware insert on the master bus in PT and call it a day.
Except I can't call it a day, which frankly isn't ideal. I am completely new with the Prism Control Panel, but I did watch Prism's own tutorial, and read the manual, with none of my questions being answered, I'm afraid.
Does anyone here know what to do in the Control Panel for this to work? Thanks!

Is there any stagger required due to outputs? Are the Prism outs discreet from its other I/o ?

I haven't used the Audio Control App with HDX (it likely has an HD mode if you're using the DIO card) but with my Lyra on USB with PT native it does the inserts as expected. If you want to contact me via PM with some screenshots I can help troubleshoot with you. I do remember it being a little counter intuitive when I first got it but once the quirks were figured out it runs as expected.

In most non Avid interfaces/ converters you have to offset the I/O in the PT setup menu to have sample accurate HW inserts.
Check to see if your Prism has a Pro Tools mode or setup. If not you can do it manually.
Ex: If your monitor outputs are Out 1-2 then the first two inputs in the PT I/O setup you offset to make the outputs match the same inputs. So your Ch 5-6 would really be HW insert 7-8. U would Send audio from Line Output 7-8 return on Input 7-8.
Hope this helps.
