Hello guys, i'm running out of ideas of How to get my profire 2626 to work with my notebook (hp 8460p).
Im using windows 7/64 bits and a 6 PIN (profire) to 4 PIN (notebook) firewire cable. After installing the driver, whenever i try to play Any song the profire disconnects and i have to restart the interface. The windows 7 only provides the ieee 1394 normal and legacy drivers and none of It Works.
The interface is working well, i use It on my PC with a 6pin 1394 cable.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I cant open a ticket on the M-Audio website because i dont have the serial number on the interface (bought It used).

Is the serial number not on the unit somewhere?

I'd just scrap it and grab something modern.

Welcome to RGO, there are at least 2 generations of Profire 2626 windows 7 drivers try the other version of the driver, might work.
