Well, it's here and I love it! It's impossible to make it sound bad. It can be clean, it can be colored. It can be gentle, it can be aggressive. The slight high-mid/high lift is perfect for most sources, even for treble instruments like mandolin. If I had 24, I'd use it on every track. The Weight Tank is very complementary with its hefty, low/low-mid emphasis. It's a total honeymoon review but I have no doubts about this being the perfect vocal compressor for me.

Little update, it's awesome for tracking vocals (as expected). And since I'm mixing a mono album, I decided to put it on the master buss. Sweet!!!

Male vox thus far. Had an musician/audio engineer friend come in to track recently and it's one of the first things he mentioned: liking the action and the tone. Going to see how it does on a powerful alto that I've got coming in with her band next week. I think it'll do quite well. It's a keeper.

Yes, I've decided to go for the Locomotive, whenever funds permit. I'm sure both Pro Replica and Audioscape are good matches for an LA2A, but I haven't used them. Did you end up getting the Locomotive 14B?
