There's this thing called OfferUp you could look at. I almost bought a steinberg interface there but one came up elsewhere.

Reverb is taking away features rather than adding them. They took away PayPal. So they will hold your money after a sale for several days, no money forwarded even for shipping. Now they are raising their tarrifs. Ebay "reverb equivalent" fees are only in the Guitar/Bass category and sub-categories. I wonder how many days or hours it will take before those go to 5%. Synchrony Bank owns both Paypal Credit and Sweetwater Credit as well as many other bodies of funds. I wonder who owns Reverb, ultimately. I guess the originators have cashed out and sailed away by now. Good for them, I suppose. Choose your poison, I guess. I list on eBay, Reverb, and RGO classifieds just hoping for any sale. Does anyone have any experience with Synchrony bank savings accounts? Any synchrony bank reviews? They claim a nice high yield savings, 2.25%. I am thinking in terms of savings account only.

Honestly the raise is annoying but what gets me the most is that 5% is not the ONLY fee! They charge an addition 2.7-2.5% transfer fee in the US, so you're actually paying about 7.5% or more on the total, with shipping and tax. Its total greed.

I thought reverb was a great alternative to ebay. Now we need a great alterative to reverb.

Was surprised to see no one mentioning yet another round of fee increases here on reverb. I closed up shop a year+ ago and refuse to sell anything on there as ever since the pandemic it really became a race to the bottom once accounting for all the taxes and fee's. Seems like facebook marketplace and other forums like this are the place to go for gear these days.

I'll tell you what's declined...really declined on Reverb is customer service.
Time was, you could actually talk with a human being, not some shitty AI chat bot.
I've bought and sold on the platform for 8 years. There have been a few times where communication with a person was appropriately required. And I got it.
Interactions with potential buyers/buyers has also become more problematic for me: like more "sketchy" representations and vituperative reactions to my sales vetting process, which I've tightened up, because I've had to.
I guess I'll continue to use the platform, but not because I enjoy it so much. It has worked well for me, but I'm not as comfortable as I once was, given the corporate direction and the seeming lack of needed oversight.

Gear doesn’t move as well on forums and FB as it does on Reverb. Wish I didn’t have to use Reverb, but its the reality for me.

With wage inflation and the difficulty in finding labor every major retailer has pretty much reach the point where it makes sense to automate where they can, have you notice how many stores have added self checkout? This is just the online version. Unless you can demonstrate value add for the company to have a human doing it, expect a computer.

Just felt like a more 'confident' experience when the CME folks (the originator) had it. Oh well.

Yeah I hate it to, it’s the part of wage inflation most on the lowend don’t understand for a lot of the jobs at a certain price you can be replaced by a machine! Now as a Tesla owner can we replace Elon with his robot please!
