Great point, John. Even when there’s a built-in attenuater/fader, my understanding is that it always follows the output transformer. So, internal atten vs external atten = same results. Would you agree with that statement? Honestly - I’m not particularly technical lol. But I did start a pro audio forum at a Holiday Inn Express 7 years ago next week. That’s the first bit of the origin story I have heard! What ever that impulse was, glad you did it. Tell us more. We’re you having the complimentary breakfast?

Those of you who have tracked your Stam shipments via DHL, did the tracking number give you the usual updates about where your package was? Or did it just say the shipping label was created and then one day it showed up at your door?

Both B examples seem a bit fuller... BUT on B there is a distortion on " so excited "

Both B examples seem a bit fuller... Yeah - both driven harder on the input. Weird though, I had it set that way when a dude came over for some vocals...it was getting hairy on him, so I just went back to my usual 25db for times sake. Need to experiment more.

We got 17 pieces stolen yesterday from our car...
The guy that stole it will never be able to use them or sell them as they were missing the input transformer that was home...
I have more transformers coming next week on Friday, kindly bare with us a few days

On my Stam pieces I was able to watch it move throughout the process from Chile to Customs in US. and then across the country to its destination by putting the ship number in on the DHL site.

Very sorry to hear this Josh, I lost a van full of music gear once to theft at a job. It's never fun when it happens. Hang in there!

Reviving this old thread... Does the Stam 1073-500 Sowter still gets love here? Would it compete for the "best" Neve clone available in the 500 format? Anyone tried it and also the RTZ 9762a ? Also... where to find them? Thanks !
