For those of you who have the Bumblebee Pro Audio RM-5, RM-6, and RM-7 ribbon mics, here is a great solution for coupling them in Blumlein configuration.

They should have a corresponding "front" or "0 degrees" mark etched on the bodies to make it even easier

Calling the good Doctor, markfouxman - do you have something like this for The VL37 mics please? Hey Ward, The problem is our mics are bigger and heavier (it is Stainless Steel, after all), so the coupler alone would not hold both our mics securely. Another problem, since the Stainless Steel easily gets scratched it will need to be addressed, as well, so the centering ring should be rather out of Teflon, or Delrin, which by themselves are not as strong as metal. That's why in the MF65 we had a Delrin centering ring in the middle and around it had to build holding structure. Because of side sockets it had perfect and uniform alignment every time. The VL37 has about the same problem--weight, so if you couple two in this way because of gravity there will be hard to find a shock mount to securely hold it--the center should be in the middle, like in MF65. All in all, the VL37 needs more radical solution than a coupling ring. We are working to make it affordable--obviously, it cannot be in the same price range and league as the MF65 $450 Blumlein attachment. Best, M Attachments:

Thanks for the very informative reply, markfouxman. I absolutely love my pair of VL37s and they are sitting above a drum kit right now for overhead capture. They are AMAZING!

The website mentions that a Blumlein mount for VL37s is coming soon!
