Besides, all of your projects look showroom ready! Hahaha, thank you SO MUCH Dan!! No disappointment at all!! MUCH RESPECT for your Photoshop / Illustrator skills! Freakin' amazing! I personally like the emblem TBH - goes with the kind of "classic car" vibe I'm getting from the design - which is cool! Emblem ties it together very nicely. Both would look great but an actual emblem (metal) would really pop on the actual unit. Again, great work! Love the feature-set as well - LINE IN was a MUSTTT!

Everything looks great Dan. I think the first logo communicates a bit cleaner. The second works too, but somehow I'm seeing the first one in my mind's eye a bit stronger.
I really like the addition of a line in option, as well. I'm really curious about these once you are ready to start taking orders.

bluegrassdan , beyond a certain set of parameters (legibility, organization) design is such a subjective thing, right? I think you've done a great job here. You've maintained a consistent tone throughout the design, it's easy to read, the layout is organized well, and the mirroring of everything (except the EQ) makes logical sense. Personally, I'm not as into the Art Deco-looking font choice or color scheme, but that is TOTALLY a personal taste issue. And regardless of my personal taste, your design here has a unique look, which isn't easy to achieve in today's market. So kudos on that. Still--and again, this is just my opinion--when I hear "Professor Dan," I don't picture an Art Deco look in my head. I picture cozy pubs with pipe smoke while it's raining outside. And old leather-bound books in wood-paneled libraries. And smart people in their 30s teaching adjunct survey courses for peanuts while waiting for Baby Boomers to just freaking retire already. But that is totally just me. I do think you've done a fine and consistent job here. Nice work!

I would probably go with the plain white printed logo, more simple, KISS. Unless you could source a real metal badge, that might be pretty pimping.

I love Art Deco. Usually the Southern CA girls who dig that (and Steam Punk) are pretty cute too. Chris

This is an actual mockup of a real metal logo from one of those places that does emblems, key chains, custom pins, etc. Die cast with enamel paint. Produced in a mold. Polished nickel plating. So, imagine the real thing!
